They offer popular engineering courses like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and even Computer Science and Engineering to JEE Main candidates with a rank above 1 lakh.
CFTIs, like the NITs, accept JEE Main candidates with ranks up to 10,50,000 in the open and gender-neutral category. Courses Food Technology and Management, Dairy Engineering, Handloom and Textile Technology, etc, are offered to the candidates with a rank above 1 lakh.

Admission to NITS, IIITs and CFTIs will be based on the JEE Mains score and only via a centralised counselling process called the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). However, admission to the private colleges will be based on the admission process of the particular college.

JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 for session 1 was released on January 8 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains City slip have details about the JEE Main exam city in which the candidate is allotted the centre to appear in the exam and the date of exam. It helps candidates to plan their travel to the JEE Main exam centre in advance. JEE Main city intimation slip is different from the admit card.
NTA will activate the link to download JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates need to login on the JEE Main official website using their application number and password to download the JEE Main 2026 advance exam city allotment slip.
No. NTA has not allowed calculators of kind - virtual or physical inside the JEE Main exam hall. Candidates must not carry calculators or any other electronic device in the JEE Main examination centre.
The difficulty level of JEE Main 2025 April 2 shift 1 exam will be available after the exam concludes. Shiksha will provide the difficulty level and JEE Main paper analysis, students reaction based on feedback from students who are appearing in the exam.
JEE Main exam is held for 3 hours continuously without any break. Candidates are allowed to leave exam hall only after 3 hours of the test are over.
