IIM Calcutta Admission 2022: Highlights
The triple-crowned IIM Calcutta has announced the selection criteria for the 2022-2024 batch with many changes for its two-year full-time PGP (MBA) programme. Announcing its MBA admission policy for the 2022-24 batch. IIM Calcutta has increased the weightage for CAT score to 66% and reduced in cut off to 85 percentile. While last year, 15% was given to the graduation score, this year, no weightage is awarded to the graduation score. Writing Ability Test (WAT) has also been scrapped this year and PI is expected to be conducted in online mode amid the pandemic situation. The maximum merit score in admission 2022 is reduced to 90, after taking out the 10% weightage for WAT. The admission process is more favourable for candidates from diverse academic backgrounds. IIM Calcutta PGPEX-VLM, PGDBA Admission 2022
IIMC offers a one-year, full-time, residential programme, namely PGPEX-VLM jointly with IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras. The total fee for the programme is INR 13.5 lakh. Shortlisting of candidates for IIM Calcutta PGPEX-VLM is done based on eligibility criteria and evaluation of statement of purposes. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for a written test consisting of Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Engineering Ability. The written test is conducted in four cities (Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi). Candidates shortlisted after the written test are called for a PI round at the host institute. The final selection of candidates is based on a cumulative score calculated, considering multiple factors, including academic records, work experience, and performance in aptitude test and PI round.
IIM Calcutta PGDBA admission is based on an entrance exam/ admission test, conducted by the institute itself, past academic record, performance in PI round and quality/ duration of work experience. IIM Calcutta DPM Admission 2022
DPM is a doctoral degree programme in Management offered by IIM Calcutta in full-time mode. On successful completion of the programme, students are awarded a PhD degree in their respective area of specialisations. Applications for this programme are invited through advertisements in various papers and journals tentatively in the first/ second week of November. The eligibility details for the programme are given below:
Eligibility criteria: First Class master's or postgraduate diploma degree in any stream and a three-year bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate, OR CA with a minimum of 50% aggregate or CS/ CMA with a minimum of 55% aggregate along with a BCom degree, OR BTech degree of four year’s duration with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent, OR Non-engineering candidates, who have undergone 10+2+5 years, are also eligible to apply for the doctoral programme - In addition, applicants must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate in either at SSC/ HSC-level A final-year student appearing for the Bachelor's degree examination in Engineering or Master's degree examination in any discipline can also apply. Such a candidate, if selected, will be provisionally admitted provided he completes all requirements for obtaining the degree before June 30, 2022. Admission of the candidate will remain provisional until the candidate produces mark sheets proving that he satisfies the eligibility criteria. The deadline for submitting the final year degree mark sheets is December 31, 2022. |
