Review of Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering, Pune.

Placements: All my batchmates are placed as junior technicians at different airlines and MROs like Star Air, Indamer Aviation Pvt. Ltd., GMR Air Cargo, and Aerospace Engineering Ltd with an average package of 3LPA. Some of the students are opting for higher studies.

Infrastructure: College is having good infrastructure which includes smart classrooms (equipped with Internet Connectivity, Projector, AC, etc.), practical labs, Aircraft Hangar. Separate hostel is available for boys and girls. Mess facility is also provided at nominal cost.

Faculty: All the teaching faculty is well experienced and having good knowledge of the industry. The course curriculum for both the courses (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and B.Sc. Aviation) is almost 80 to 90% the same. And monthly as well as semester exams are conducted by the college.

Other: I have enrolled for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course as well as the B.Sc. Aviation integrated course in 2020. The college is located in Manjari Bk Pune. The course syllabus is updated as per the aviation industry standards.

Placements: The college is providing 100% placement from my batch; almost all students get placed in different airlines or MROs on average packages of 2.5 to 3.0 lacs per year as freshmen. Our batchmates are placed at Star Air, Indamer Aviation Pvt. Ltd., GMR Air Cargo and Aerospace Engineering Ltd., Indo Thai, etc.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is up to par; all labs are equipped with the latest equipment and mock-ups as per international standards. All classrooms are equipped with projectors, AC, and LAN connectivity. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The college also has a canteen at nominal cost.

Faculty: The faculty is very experienced and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is so satisfying. The course curriculum is designed as per industry requirements. The exams are conducted by the college every semester, and a monthly class test is also conducted. Once you complete the course, you are ready for the job.

I am very satisfied with the college and course curriculum.

Placements: College has a separate placement cell, providing almost 100% placements to our batch. I also got placed in Indo Thai as a Jr. Technician with a fair package. As I opted for both courses A.M.E. with B.Sc. Aviation. One of our fellow batchmates got selected as a technician directly.

Infrastructure: College campus has a good atmosphere, noise-free environment. All labs are well-equipped with the latest teaching equipment. Near about 10 practical labs are available for practical exposure. Hostel facility and mess facility are also available. The college has its own heavy Learjet 24B American Business Aircraft for students.

Faculty: The teaching faculty is well-experienced. The course structure is designed as per industry norms. The syllabus of A.M.E. and B.Sc. Aviation Course is 90% the same. A.M.E. exams are multiple-choice questions, and B.Sc. Aviation Exams are descriptive. Passing criteria are 75% for the A.M.E. course and 40% for the B.Sc. Aviation Course.

Other: Choosing the A.M.E. course can make me fly as career opportunities are much more than a regular engineering course.

Placements: Practical-oriented program; almost 97% of students are placed from my batch in different Airlines and MROs at good salaries. The average salary of individuals is 2.5L as a fresher. You can also pursue an MBA or M.Sc. in Aviation course after completing the course as the college provides a dual course.

Infrastructure: Live Learjet 24b American Business aircraft is available for student access for hands-on maintenance/practical exposure. The college has Electrical Lab, Instruments Lab, Radio Aviation Lab, JET Engine Lab, Airframe Lab, Workshop, Composite shop, Battery Shop, Welding shop, hostel for boys and girls, and mess facilities are also available at a nominal cost.

Faculty: Well-experienced staff and a number of contracted 145 organizations help to achieve practical maintenance experience. The teaching faculty is from an Air Force background/A.M.E. License Holder. Semester exams of the A.M.E. course are MCQ-based, and for B.Sc., it is subjective.

Our college is one of the top-ranked colleges in Pune.

Placements: Around 16 students out of 26 students were placed in our batch according to their cleared modules. Our college has tie-ups with many companies, such as GMR, Indamer, Go Air and Air India. The average starting salary package for particular airlines is 1 to 2 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and well maintained. There is a good Wi-Fi facility available for students. There are 3 to 4 types of labs, computer labs, RN labs, and electrical labs. There is also a workshop for students to learn about tools. Our college has a library in which all types of books are available for students to clear module papers. There are 2 to 3 fire extinguishers available.

Faculty: The staff in our college are supportive and excellent at teaching. Each and every subject is taught on screen. Each subject teacher creates a pdf of their subject to teach the students in a better and easier way. This is the best course in the aviation stream. The semester exams are generally difficult. To pass the semester, you need to get 75% in each subject.

Other: Our campus is well maintained and the course curriculum is good.

Really good infrastructure and facilities at affordable fees.

Placements: Our college always ensures that every student gets a job. Most of the students from our college are placed at reputed airlines and maintenance repair organisation (MRO). After successfully completion of course, college provides internship or jobs for the students. Our college have tie-ups with AIR INDIA, GO AIR, GMR, INDAMER aviation pvt Ltd. At starting during internship or job student can get good salary. There will be variations in the salaries depending on the organisation. After getting some of the experience from the field and clearing all of the dgca papers you will become an engineer and then the salaries are ranging from 1 lakhs or above per month. The college always takes efforts for the students who have cleared more modules to get placed in reputed airlines.

Infrastructure: Our college campus is well maintained and have very good infrastructure. The college is free from sound pollution. The classrooms are fully equipped with all necessary equipment. All the campus is under CCTV surveillance. The college has beautiful garden and enough parking space. There is a projector in every classroom. The classrooms are equipped with air conditioners. The college have library with various aviation related books which helps to gain extra knowledge and also helps to clear DGCA modules. Wi-Fi facility is also available in college for the education purpose. All labs of the college are fully equipped with all necessary practical materials and they are in very good conditions which is very useful to students for proper understanding of practicals. The college also have a learn JET 24B aircraft for practical purpose. Most of the practicals are done on this aircraft for the proper understanding of the aircraft components. The college providing good outdoor and indoor sports activities like volleyball, carrom, chess, badminton etc. From last year our college started mechanical stream with this our college added most important parts of the aircraft such as engines, landing gear, structural parts and much more which helps for the better understanding of each and every part of the aircraft properly. The hostel is also near the college and which is also well maintained and at affordable fees. Overall it's good experience at indira Institute of aircraft engineering.

Faculty: I passed out from batch 17 (Avionics stream). I have cleared my all A.M.E. Dgca basic modules of Avionics stream and also cleared 7 modules of mechanical stream. The reason behind this is the experienced and supportive faculty of our college. All the instructors of the college are very supportive and they are always ready to solve doubts and problems at any time. Most of the instructors are from the air force background and BAMEL holders. While 147 practical training one of the instructor is always with the students for proper guidance. All the faculty of college is helpful in all aspects.

College gave us good opportunities for training. And trained .

Placements: Most of the students got placed from college. The highest package offered for my course is 3lpa and lower is 1.5lpa. Top recruiting companies for my course are INDIGO, AIR INDIA, GMR etc. Most of the students got internship from our college in companies like mytri aviation pvt. Ltd. indo thai, star air etc. Top roles offered in my course is associate technician.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite impressive. College have different instruments labs, workshops, hostel for both are separate. The infrastructure of our college is well developed and caters effective to the academic and extracurricular needs of students. The campus is clean, well maintained, and provides a conducive environment for learning. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aids such as projects and SMART boards. Laboratories especially those related to aviation and courses are up to date. The library is a major highlight offering a wide collection of acedemic books, journals, and digital resources.

Faculty: Yes teachers were very helpful about study material they guide us in every situation very dedicated staff. The only thing I experienced was they just lack about updated aviation knowledge. And the course curriculum is relevant.

Other: About my course I think college should improve is I choose this course cuz I have got interest in aviation.
