Institute of Genetic Engineering Admission will be done on the basis of eligibility criteria of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) either as direct admission by the institute or through the Common Entrance Test (CET) which will be conducted by MAKAUT for the academic year 2024.
Candidates who wants to pursue BMLT from IGE have to pay INR 2.5 Lacs as course fee + additional university examination charges. Course fees for BSc Medical Imaging Technology and BSc in Genetics is also INR 2.5 Lakh. Students pursuing BSc in Media Science at IGE, BSc in Microbiology and BBA in Hotel Management have to pay the course fee of INR 2.1 Lakh. Institute of Genetic Engineering Infrastructure 2024
IGE Campus is laced with modern and practical infra facilities. Students get to enjoy the benefits of free Wi-Fi at campus. The campus has smart classrooms for effective learning. There are separate blocks for UG and PG classes. There are dedicated blocks for the labs. The main labs available at the campus are Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Thalassaemia Research laboratory, and many more. The new lab block is interconnected with the UG Block.
IGE has a Library facility that has more than 1,000 books and also has a digital library that has 3000 textbooks and 7000 journals online. Students also get to enjoy the benefit of Seminar Hall which is air-conditioned and has a seating capacity of more than 100 people and also has an audio-visual facility. The institute has a girl's hostel close to the campus, which makes accommodation and conveyance easy for them. IGE has a canteen facility for the students, which offers multi-cuisine food.
