IHM Shimla offers four courses at UG, PG and Diploma levels. The institute offers BSc, MSc, Diploma in Food Production and Diploma in Food and Beverage Service. This is because the IHM is run by the government of India, whereas the AIHM is a private Institution. The government issued certificates have more value in India than that of the private institutions. The government institutions also have lower fees compared to the private institutions. The curriculum for both the Institutions are almost similar.
