On Admissions
Q:   Can I join Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability directly?
A:

The Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) does not allow direct enrollment without first requiring you to complete the official admissions process. It is mandatory for all applicants to apply via their web portal and fulfill the qualifying requirements. This guarantees that they choose motivated and qualified candidates for their programs. A minimum percentage in Class 12 or equivalent exams is usually required,  and acceptable scores on any of the following tests are also required: JSAT  (Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test) for Indian applicants; ACTSAT (India); and UGAAT  (Under-Graduate Aptitude Test) (as per UGC guidelines).

Q:   When are Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability application forms out?
A:

The Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) has different application deadlines for different programs and admission sessions.

Here's a summary of the current circumstances, though: Applications for the academic year 2023–2024 are closed. The cutoff date for B applications. A. (Hons. ) as well as B.Sc. (Hons. ) activities ended on March 30, 2023.

Applications for the academic year 2024–2025 are not yet available. Although the precise date for accepting applications has not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated to occur in November or December of 2023.

Q:   What is the seat intake for B.Sc at Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability?
A:

The precise intake of seats for the B. Sc. On their website or in other official sources, the Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) program is not easily accessible. But based on what I could find, this is what I discovered: Limited intake: JSES typically keeps its undergraduate programs, including the B, to small class sizes. Sc. This enables one-on-one communication and attention from faculty members. Estimated range: The B is based on forum discussions and student reviews. Sc. JSES probably accepts between 30 and 50 students per year for its program. This is not an official number, though,  and it could change a little based on the year and program changes.

On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Which entrance exam scores does Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability accept for admission to B.A?
A:

Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) is a pioneer undergraduate programme on environment and sustainability in India. It is part of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), which is ranked #951-1000 in the QS World University Rankings and #52 among universities in India by NIRF.

Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) accepts JSAT, SAT, or ACT scores for admission to B.A. (Hons.) Environment and Sustainable Development programme. The eligibility criteria also include annual family income, XII board score, and faculty interview score. Weightage will also be given to curricular and non-curricular achievements. You can find more details about the programme and the admission process on the JSES website or the JSES brochure.

Q:   How many students can do B.Sc at Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability?
A:

Determining the precise number of students admitted for the B.Sc. programme at Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) can be a bit challenging, as specific intake figures aren't always readily available on their website. However, here's what we can gather:

Limited Open Information:

  • Official statistics on the exact number of B.Sc. students per intake are not prominently displayed on the JSES website or promotional materials. This might be due to confidentiality reasons or simply not being a priority piece of information for recruitment.

Available Clues:

  • Class size indicators: Some anecdotal evidence suggests smaller class sizes for the B.Sc. program compared to other established environmental programs in India. This could point towards an intake of somewhere between 20-50 students per year.
  • Faculty-student ratio: JSES boasts a strong faculty-student ratio,  further supporting the possibility of smaller class sizes for personalized attention.
  • Limited programme history: Launched in 2020,  the B.Sc. program is still relatively young. As it matures and gains popularity,  the intake size might gradually increase.
Q:   Does Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability accept CUET score?
A:

No, the Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) currently does not accept CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores for admission to its undergraduate programs. Their website clearly states that the accepted qualifying examinations for the B.A. (Hons.) in Environment and Sustainable Development are:

  • JSAT (Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test): This is their own university entrance exam.
  • ACT: American College Testing
  • SAT: Scholastic Aptitude Test (India)
  • UGAT: Under-Graduate Aptitude Test (as per UGC guidelines)

However, there are some changes coming up in the admission process for the 2024 batch onwards. As per the latest updates on the JSES website, CUET will be one of the accepted qualifying examinations starting from the next academic year. So, if you are aiming for admission in the 2025 batch, you will be eligible to apply using your CUET score.
