B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Good placements, decent infra & campus life.
Placements: Placements are quite good with many reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Accenture visiting the campus. About 70-80% of students in our batch got placed. Highest package offered was around 12 LPA, and average stayed between 4 and 5 LPA. Internships were also offered by companies like Cognizant and Capgemini. Training and placement cell regularly arranges workshops, coding tests, and mock interviews to improve placement readiness.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent with well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi-enabled campus, and spacious classrooms. Central library has good resources and online journals. Hostels are fine, with average quality mess food, but they are hygienic. Sports and medical facilities are available. Canteen food is affordable and good for daily use.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and approachable for doubts. Most professors are Ph.D. holders and have strong academic as well as industrial experience. Curriculum is regularly updated and is aligned with industry requirements. Exams are moderately difficult but fair. Average pass percentage is around 85- 90%.
Other: College provides value for money since the total fees are affordable compared to private universities. Scholarships are available for merit and economically weaker students. Considering placements and exposure, the ROI is quite good.

Good placements & faculty.
Placements: Our batch (B.Teach CSE 2022-2026) had around an 80% placement rate. Highest package offered was 15 LPA, average hovered around 5-6 LPA, and lowest was around 3 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Capgemini visited for recruitment. Some core roles, like Software Engineer, Data Analyst, and Cloud Associate were offered. Around 60% of students also got internships, mostly in IT firms and a few startups. Placement cell organized training sessions, coding practice, and mock interviews that were very useful.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for CSE students is fairly good with modern computer labs, table Wi-Fi across the campus, and project facilities in dedicated innovation labs. Library is well-stocked with reference books and digital journals. Hostel is decent with double occupancy rooms, regular cleaning, and access to purified drinking water. Food quality in the mess is average but hygienic, while the canteen offers affordable alternatives. Sports grounds, gym facilities, and a medical center with 24/7 availability add to the comfort of hostel life.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and approachable, with most holding PhDs or having industry exposure. Teaching style is practical, often involving labs and project-based learning. Curriculum is updated regularly in line with AI, cloud, and data Science requirements, making students industry-ready. Exams are moderately difficult but fair, testing both theory and problem-solving skills. The pass percentage stays high, around 85-90%, as teachers provide enough support with doubt sessions and additional tutorials.
Other: Overall fee for the 4-year course is about 4.5-5 Lacs, which is reasonable when compared to the quality of education and the placement opportunities provided. Scholarships and fee concessions are available for meritorious and economically weaker students. Considering the placement success, exposure, and facilities, the return on investment is good. Students feel they are getting full value for their money.

You can opt for JMIT if you are local and don't have good JEE score, as it's best in Yamunanagar.
Placements: Overall, it is average college. Placements are quite down from the last 2 years. Limited companies are coming for campus placement, and giving 3 LPA - 4 LPA package. No MNCs hire students. CSE students are going to non-tech roles. Hardly 4-5 students from one batch get internships that too off-campus. The highest package they show of 36 LPA by Amazon off campus, and 3 years ago.
Infrastructure: Hostel is good, you will get AC rooms, one seater, two seater, 3 seater but if we talk about the hostel/mess food, it's quite average or we can directly say it's of low quality. Hostel have a common area to watch TV/sports, etc. There is a small ground to play games like badminton or volleyball.
Faculty: Teachers are good, helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective streams. They show extra efforts towards students' studies and coursework. Curriculum is the same as all other colleges old one but they also give priority to practical knowledge. They have respective labs which give practical knowledge to students.

It is the best college in my life.
Placements: 100% of students from my course are placed. The highest salary package is 10 LPA, while the average package is approximately 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Sagar Defence, Dynamic Monk, and Sensation Software. The most sought-after roles offered in my batch are software developer, web developer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are very nic.e Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are available and maintainable for students. The mess and canteens are very good and the quality of the food is very nice. Sport and extra activity are very good. They conduct competition like technovanza.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They provide the best resource to the students. This course curriculum is relevant. Teachers are very helpful. They support students in their future goals. Semester exams are not difficult.
Other: I opted for this course because it provides the best placements.

Faculty is good, but placement is not good.
Placements: The placement scenario is quite disappointing. Most placement offers fall in the range of 2.5–4 LPA, with stipends during internships often as low as Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month, or even completely unpaid for 3–6 months. Only 1–2 students receive the highest package of 6 LPA, usually for teaching roles.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at JMIT are average, with both pros and cons depending on what you're looking for. The campus and hostel areas are generally safe, with guards and a basic security system in place. Overall, the hostel is manageable and livable, but don't expect premium facilities.
Faculty: The CSE faculty at JMIT is one of the strongest aspects of the department. Most professors are supportive, approachable, and well-qualified. They encourage students to explore beyond the syllabus, support participation in coding competitions, and are generally open to guiding students in projects.
Other: Faculty in the CSE department are genuinely supportive and helpful. They actively encourage students to build their skills and sometimes even leverage their connections to help with placements. Their dedication to student growth is commendable and creates a positive learning environment. However, the placement scenario is quite disappointing. Most placement offers fall in the range of 2.5–4 LPA, with stipends during the 6-month training period often as low as Rs. 7,000 Rs. 12,000 per month, or even completely unpaid for 3–6 months. Only 1–2 students from the batch may receive offers around 6 LPA, and that is mostly due to personal hard work and skill-building, not the efforts of the college. Many technically skilled students end up placed in non-tech roles. Overall, only 50–60% of students manage to secure core technical jobs. The placement cell is not effective, and its support and efforts fall short of expectations. In summary, while faculty is excellent and very encouraging, the placement cell needs serious improvement to match the efforts students and teachers are putting in.

Yes, definitely students can get admission at JMIT College with 80% in 10th and 90% in 12th. It is due to reason being that there is no minimum percentage required to appear in JEE Main however, candidates must secure a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or get admission in IITs, NITs or IIITs.
