GJUST admission process 2026 begins with registration for the course of their choice. The selection will be entrance-based for most of the programme. Check below the GJUST admission process:
Application Process
Eligible students can apply online. Students must first register for relevant entrance exam and then fill the GJUST application form.
Selection
Applications are screened. The selection for most of the programmes such as BA, MA, MBA, etc. is based on GJUST Entrance Test. National-level entrance exams are also accepted for admission such as JEE Main for BTech, GATE for MTech and CAT for MBA. For others, merit in the last qualifying exam is considered for admission.
Counselling and Seat Allotment
Shortlisted candidates are called for counselling. Aspirants are required to lock their preferences. The list of seat allotment will be available on the official website of the university. Selected candidates need to pay GJUST fee to confirm their seat in the university. BTech candidates have to appear for HSTES Counselling.
GJUST Seat Reservation Criteria 2026
GJUST distributes seats under All India Category and Bonafide Residents of Haryana. Out of the total, 15% seats are for All India Candidates and 85% seats are for Bonafide Residents of Haryana. Below is category-wise reservation for Bonafide Residents of Haryana:

GJUST Fee Refund Policy 2026
In case of UGC courses/ programmes, UGC guidelines will be followed for fee refund at GJUST. If a student chooses to withdraw from the programme of study in which she/he is enrolled the institution concerned shall follow the following table:

GJUST admissions usually begin in June for UG and PG courses with the opening of registration portal. The applications open online and continue till July. For PhD courses, the application forms are usually released in the first week of August. The university concludes the admission within a month.

GJUST BPharm fees includes various components, such as caution money, tuition fee, hostel fee, and more. Some of these components are one-time chargeable, like caution deposit. While tuition fee and other such components have to be paid annually/semesterly. GJUST BPharm tuition fee is INR 3,400, while the hostel charges are INR 25,400 and one-time fee is of INR 2,000.

GJUST offers BTech for a four-year duration at the UG level. The course is spread across eight semesters in Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. An applicant should have passed the Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects. GJUST BTech admission is based on JEE scores/ GJUST entrance exam. The university also provides lateral entry to BTech courses.
