It is one of the best media colleges for bachelors in media.

Placements: Jyoti Nivas College students hold a reputation as most students are getting placed in good media organisations and with an industry-standard salary package. Most of our batchmates interned in reputable media houses like Hindustan Times, TOI, etc., which gave us first-hand experience of the media industry out there.

Infrastructure: Each of the classrooms is equipped with projectors, speakers, Wi-Fi and an accessible computer system. The library is stacked with books, question papers, projects, thesis, newspapers and educational magazines. The hostel is not only safe, but it is also hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness similar to our homes. The college has 2 major canteens which serve every tasty food.

Faculty: Every professor here is not just an expert in their field but ensures that we understand and grasp the knowledge which they are imparting. They also ensure that every student has understood their lectures before moving on to the next. All the professors gave us maximum exposure to the media market and made us industry-ready.

Other: JNC harbours are hard work, and it's constant harping on persistence made us ready of the media market out there, which involved long hours, working under pressure and yet delivering our best. Our fests like Akhiyana and Scintillation were a few of the events which we eagerly waited for every year.

Good faculty, average infrastructure and poor administration.

Placements: The placement statistics aren't given to the students in our course. The seniors are mostly doing their Masters after graduating. Only a few are doing jobs. The alumni are all at high positions and doing very well. The only thing that the faculty told us was that the placement is only average. The salary that the seniors have is also not disclosed. The internships offered a stipend of minimum Rs.2,000 per month to Rs. 20,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. The college is renovating currently. The facilities offered are not that good. We only have one canteen, no Wi-Fi available to students but only for teachers, the sports field is not well maintained. The pros are that we have good hardware and software equipment available for the labs. The best of the lights and radio equipment are provided for the communication students. The college also has a lack of digital interface to track attendance and marks of the students.

Faculty: The faculty are excellent. They are all experienced and have a good exposure outside of the college. They are smart and learned. They are also very helpful when students need them and maintain a good relationship with all the students. The teachers use conventional as well as non-conventional ways of teaching when students are bored. They are also always picking up healthy debates, and conversation for students' benefit.
