It is an excellent college and has good reputation.
Placements: None of the students got placements from K.L Polytechnic in the last 6-7 years. However, placements were active before 2012. That's not something new about diploma colleges. There are hardly one or two colleges in which placements are held.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average but due to lack of observation the building has many cracks. There is a decent library for students but it is filled with old course books which are no more relevant to students. There is also a computer lab which remains close all the time.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and most of them are Ph.D. holders in their field and others are well-qualified engineers. But the way thet teach is still old. In civil engineering, there is less industry exposure more fieldwork. The passing percentage is about 33% but doing diploma and gaining only 33% is not so enough.
Other: K.L.Polytechnic, Roorkee is a semi-government college and you have to clear the exam first before admissions. Civil engineering is a good course to do in which you learn about buildings, rivers, dams, etc. I wish the faculty and their way of teaching would be better. There are a few events held occasionally like sports and other events.

The college faculty members and campus life are completely dissatisfying.
Placements: Placements in K.L. Polytechnic College have been completely zero since all past years. It will be a complete waste to expect to get placed. Companies do not approach this college. The same conditions are for the internship of students. The top roles offered are A.E, J.E, etc.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility on the college campus. Labs, classrooms, computer rooms, and a library have poor infrastructure. Labs are not well-equipped with good machinery and apparatus. Students are unable to find books of new editions in the library.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They are not really helpful to students. Their teaching quality is moderate, and the college lacks complete teaching staff members. The course curriculum is relevant. The difficulty level of semester exams is easy to average. The pass percentage is really high.
Other: The course does not really provide a high chance of getting jobs. If one is disciplined and hardworking, you can get a seat in a government job by cracking government exams. The college must arrange a site visit to make students aware of how things actually work practically. College fests, events, etc., should also be encouraged by the college authority.

Review of K.L. Polytechnic College.
Placements: There are zero placements, and that is not something new about diploma colleges. Mostly, diploma colleges have zero or hardly 2-3 placements in a year. There are 4 courses available which are the diploma in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and electronics engineering.
Infrastructure: The department of the college is average, and the infrastructure is also average. The hostel is in poor condition, and it does not have any mess food. Hardly 10-20 students stay in the hostel. The fun fact is that the hostel is just opposite the UBTER main office, which is almost 1 kilometer away from the college.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, but some are not. Teachers are highly educated. Most of the teachers are PhD holders, and others are well-settled engineers. The college is linked with UBTER, so all exams decision is taken by UBTER. It also provides the industrial exposure to students.
Other: I have chosen this course because civil engineering is a good course to pursue. It is one of the oldest and rich in terms of future scope courses. There is a lack of teachers, and their way of teaching is not interactive. The good thing is that there are events from time to time that is encouraging and motivational. The best thing which I like about the college is that it is in the market area. It is easy to access restaurants, vendor shops, digital shops, etc. The other good thing is that college is on the highway, so it is easy to go to your home.
