The highest average package stood at INR INR 3.79 LPA and was recorded for the BTech IT branch. Apart from this, 13 BTech students opted for higher studies during the Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology placements 2024.

My life at KCET. Home away from home.
Placements: 80% of students were placed, with the highest package at 5 LPA. Others pursued higher studies. Secured many internships in startups and MNCs, gaining real-world experience. The institute ensures career and academic growth through strong training and industry support.
Infrastructure: Hostel food is good and served unlimited to all students. Wi-Fi is available 24/7, ensuring seamless connectivity at all times. Additionally, a well-equipped gym is provided free of cost, promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle among students. The dispensary is available.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and supportive, guiding students with quality input throughout the curriculum. They ensure better understanding and growth. The overall pass percentage is 50%, reflecting the standard and consistency of academic performance.

Reality of my college life during 2016-2020.
Placements: 90% Students were placed in each class in every department. Salary Package starts from Rs. 5000 to 30000 for on-campus placements for Biotechnology. VWR is the top company as it provides Rs. 30,000 for Biotechnology. Many students got internship in Biotechnology Biocon, etc. Quality Analyst, Junior Associate, etc. are the positions offered after Undergraduate in core companies.
Infrastructure: My college management provides e-library access to all students, and it also has many books and journals for all departments. Biotechnology labs have given Wi-Fi access to both students and staff. Classrooms are neat, and benches are in good condition. Hostels are hygienic and clean. Hostel foods were good to eat. Chicken briyani in the hostel was tasty and a favorite of most hostellers and dayschoolers. During parent-teacher meetings, in girls and boys hostels, foods were provided to both students and parents and also to every teaching and non-teaching staff.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful during my college days; they allowed me to take rest on my menstrual period. Their teaching is also good. Course curriculum is relevant to examination questions. But it does not make students industry-ready, as there are not such activities to enhance project mindset and very few industrial visits for real-time explanation. As marks are evaluated by Anna University during my college days, the question paper level differs in each exam and semester. The pass percentage is above 70% in my class.
Other: In this course I have learnt about entrepreneurship and how to start a business, then I have learnt about many technologies used in the biofield. Events in my college are very low; only symposium and conference programs are conducted in each department separately. Inter-college festivals are not happening inside campus. Scholarships for students were provided by the state government for first-graders. Extracurricular activity periods are there, but it was taken by staff to complete the project. Hence, hostellers only participated in every activity during college days.

Placements: Our college has a good percentage of students who have been placed, about 80%. The highest package offered is 10 lakhs per year, with an average package of 6 lakhs per year and a lowest package of 2 lakhs per year. Top recruiting companies like Mahindra, Tata, and Infosys visit here. Students get internships at companies like Dell; about 70% of students participate in internships. Top roles offered include project manager and engine design.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are good. Our college offers a good cafeteria, classrooms with Wi-Fi facilities, and clean, well-maintained labs with many new devices. The classrooms have smart boards that help us understand through videos. The library has a good collection of books. The hostel provides good food in the mess, which is also kept clean. A canteen is available for meals, and medical facilities are available nearby. Sports and games are well-supported by the management.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and have good knowledge of their subjects. They are professional and able to clarify our doubts effectively. Attending classes attentively is sufficient to pass exams. The curriculum is relevant to industry needs, making students industry-ready. While exams are challenging, studying diligently can lead to higher scores, which aids in placements.

Placements: 76% of students were placed in companies with the best salaries in our course. The highest package offered is 32 LPA, and the lowest package is 14 LPA. Top companies like BSNL, AIRTEL and BHARAT ELECTRONICS LIMITED are campus-hiring companies. Roles include analytics and web development.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped, and classrooms have projectors. Free Wi-Fi space and a workplace are available in the college. The game is held as a tournament every semester. The hostel is good, the hostel mess is okay, and facilities like washrooms and good water supply are all good.
Faculty: The faculty members were very good; they were very caring and would motivate us to study. No faculty can complain that they are committed to their professions and give 100 percent input. It would be a little easier than a hellish semester. Most students will clear with a good percentage.

It achieved 98% of its placement rate this year. The fact that high-recruiting companies such as Zoho, Infosys, Cognizant, and Tata visit our college for recruitment is a positive sign. These companies are well known in the IT industry and offer excellent career prospects for our students.
Infrastructure: Our college provides Wi-Fi access throughout the campus, including classrooms, libraries, labs, and common areas. There is a well-equipped Lab where students can gain hands-on experience with various tools and software. The classroom is equipped with a projector, audiovisual aids, and comfortable seats. The hostel is neat and clean; it also has 24 hour wi-fi, hygienic food, and medical facilities for 24 hours.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are qualified, knowledgeable, friendly, and help us so much. All the courses provided by our institution are curriculum-relevant, which makes the student knowledgeable, builds their career, and prepares them for placement. The semester exam is not too tough; it is average, and the student needs to get a minimum of 50% of the mark to pass.

Placements: More than 90% of students are placed every year. Placements are very good. Most students are placed in IT companies. ZIFO is one of the top companies in the field of biotechnology that visits our campus. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Every classroom has a ventilation system. Every class has an LCD monitor. Wi-Fi is available in both the college and the hostel. There is a central library which gives access to every student. The quality of food served in the mess can be improved slightly. Canteen food is better.
Faculty: Biotechnology is a good career to pursue. If you are a researcher, you will enjoy it. Staff members help students by clearing their doubts. They insist more on referring to books. The course can still be improved to make students industry-ready.
