Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology specifies the minimum qualification and aggregate required to apply for a course. The basic eligiblity is Class 12 for UG and graduation for PG programmes. Below is course-wise eligibility for KVCET:

BE/ BTechHigher secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as three of the four subjects of study under Part-III or any examination of any other university or authority accepted by the Syndicate of Anna University of Technology Chennai as equivalent thereto with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category)
ME/ MTechBachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 50% aggregate
MBAGraduation with at least 50% aggregate
MCAA bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years duration in BCA or B.Sc (IT/ CSE/ equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate
