I am not satisfied with this college.
Placements: Our college provides good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available. Labs, classrooms, and libraries are good. The hostel facilities are not available. Guest services are available for students who come from outside the country.
Faculty: The teaching quality is average. All teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are good. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I chose this course to flourish with good cultural taste, and it's the type of course that has various job prospects.

The English department is great.
Placements: For government colleges and especially in mainstream honors courses, there are fewer chances for direct placements. Our college is also not an exception in this case. Still, our professors make students industry-ready.
Infrastructure: Cultural activities of our college are great. Hostel, playground and Wi-Fi are not available here. Classrooms are great, and the collection in our library is huge. Our college is more focused on cultural activities instead of sports.
Faculty: There are many dignified and highly qualified teachers in our college, especially in our English department. They are always ready to help students. Seniors are very helpful too. Overall, faculty members are excellent. Students are also very supportive.

It is a great college, and I like this college and all faculty members.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed in our course. Maximum 60 or 70% of the students got an internship from our course. This course is good for students who know English well. Companies are great where students got placed. This subject helps us to improve our spoken English and our English accent.
Infrastructure: Canteen, medical facilities and sports and games are available in our college. Our college has a Wi-Fi system. Labs are well-maintained, and our classrooms are quite interesting. There are many arts in our classroom, which attract students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and very kind to us. They are like family, and they care for us much. Their teaching quality is very attractive and interesting. This course curriculum is relevant. Some students are industry-ready.
Other: I like the English subject, so I took this course. The best thing about our course is literature and novels. There are many novels to read in our syllabus. English literature is interesting for students who like literature.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: About 50% of the students were placed from our course. Top recruiting companies here are Wipro, TCS, etc. About 30% of the students got internships from our course in Wipro and TCS companies. Top roles offered in our course are professors.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in our college, and the canteen is poor. The quality of the food served is poor, and the canteen facility should be improved. Otherwise, everything is fine, and the classrooms are clean. There are no labs in our college, and there is no playground also. I am a little disappointed.
Faculty: Teachers are fine here, but they should focus on academically poor students than brilliant students. Their teaching quality is good, and they are helpful. This course is very important to all students. English is a necessary subject, and it makes students ready.
Other: I chose this course because I love the English subject since my childhood. The best thing about my course is the language. There is no need to improve anything in my course. I wish that a fest should be organised in our college.

Except for the education and cultural program, everything here is highly disappointing.
Placements: None of the colleges gives placements after graduating English Hons. A very low percentage of students got an internship just after graduating English honors. None of the companies visited for the mainstream honors system.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good. The quality of food in the canteen is not good. There is no Wi-Fi for students, and the campus is also very small. The librarian is not that helpful. There is no medical facility, and there are not more opportunities for sports in our college.
Faculty: All the teachers of the department are very helpful, kind and highly qualified. They are always ready to help us whenever we need. The way of teaching is also very good. This course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready.
Other: Most of the office staff members are useless, and they do not even know the university rules. Their behaviors towards students are also very bad. Our college union is also useless. Still, there is a vast scope of exploring the cultural talents of students. Cultural programs and their qualities are very good. Our college often arranges programs and competitions to encourage students.

I suggest you not to join here if you have other options.
Placements: Placements are not offered in this course. Students don't get internships, and roles are not offered here. It is a B.A course, so generally, placements are not offered in this kind of course. It is a drawback of this course. Not only in this college but also in every college, the placements are not provided for this course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is not available here. Classrooms are good and comfortable. The library is quite good, but the librarian is rude. The canteen is very bad, and the quality of the food served in the canteen is very low. There are no medical facilities, and there are very few opportunities to participate in sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers here are helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. This course curriculum is not relevant, and it does not make any student industry-ready. Students have to build their careers on their own.
Other: Events organised here are boring, and the campus surroundings are average. There should be some interesting stories instead of these boring books and poems in the syllabus of our course.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty, placements, facilities and politics in the college.
Placements: This college has neither a placement cell nor any scope for placements. No initiative is taken to provide placements. Neither my batch nor the previous one had placements. The college doesn't even provide hand-in internships. One has to do everything on their own, and there is zero support from the college. They didn't even sign the paper on time.
Infrastructure: The campus has no ground for sports and games. Classrooms are well-equipped. Labs aren't good enough. Wi-Fi is not available. A library is available and has books, but no student goes there. Medical facilities are negligible. Labs aren't that good. They lack basic equipment and are outnumbered by student ratio. The canteen has been built newly, and it offers average food. No hostels are available. I have faced a lot of problems during my tenure.
Faculty: Teachers were all qualified and supportive, but the quality of teaching was average. Not much of their fault because the college is actively involved in politics, fights and disruption. The student to faculty ratio is somewhere good and somewhere worse. We had 4 teachers and 150+ students in a department. No industry exposure is provided, to be honest. The course curriculum was outdated to be precise. In 2018-2019, we were studying the syllabus of 2010.
Other: Annual prize distribution, sports day, birthdays of various great personalities, NCC, NSS, festivals, etc., are organised in the college.

Other: Its ordinary college the most important thing is it’s under Calcutta University. Only the journalism sector is pretty much good under the jurisdiction of TAPASI GHOSH (HOD). Although geography section is also good another important point is those who does not want to come college and want to enjoy at home but at the end of the year they can give exam. Fess structure are ordinary 5000-5500 for a year.
