College Hosts a Talk on ‘World Engineering Day’
March 11, 2020: On the occasion of World Engineering Day, Departments of Civil Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, M.V.J. College of Engineering - MVJCE, organised a session on ‘Contribution of Engineers for the Sustainable Development of the Country’ on March 4. The event was witnessed by active participation of over 200 students, faculty and non-teaching staff Civil Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. The session aimed to encourage participants to learn about the value of engineering skills and their roles in the field of technical development, to foster the culture of working with advanced technology and to raise awareness of each engineer's contribution to global development.
Institute Organises Industrial Visit to CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute
February 19, 2020: Department of Information Science and Engineering organised an industrial visit for fourth-semester ISE students to CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute as a part of their curriculum. The visit was organised on February 10. Senior Scientist Prabhu at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) also delivered a guest lecture to students explaining the topics related to supercomputers such as their revolution, characteristics and architecture, applications of high-performance computing, data centre features and their institution functionalities, operations and various divisions. Post lecture, students experienced live functioning of supercomputers and its facility.
The visit aimed at giving students practical exposure to corporate world.
