A nice place to learn what we wish with a group of people.

Placements: 2022-2026 batch, Information Technology. Almost 90 percent of students got placed. The highest package is upto 46 LPA. The lowest package is upto 10 LPA. Top recruiters are Amazon, Samsung, Netradyne, De Shaw, Appian, American Express, Accenture, Wells Fargo, and Cognizant. About 40 percent of students got internships cum FTE. The remaining got direct FTE. Top roles are software engineering, QA, Software testing, SQL-based roles, etc.

Infrastructure: The department has good facilities with classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi. There are libraries too with good infrastructure. Smart board is also available. In hostel, an Ethernet facility is available. Food is also good with a variety of food each day. Evening snacks are provided. There are 2canteens to serve us the snacks and food. According to the medical facility there is a health centre working 24/7. We have medical insurance of about Rs. 50,000.

Faculty: Teachers are good at teaching and doubt clearing as well as giving great assistance to the students whenever needed. Teaching quality is better. The course curriculum is well related to the current industry needs and trends. Semester exams were not that bad some are easy and others are little tougher. Many students got good rankings. The pass percentage holds above 92.33 percent with few left over.

Other: I've chosen this course due to my interest in the IT field and current tech trends. The best thing about this course is that you will learn more about the technological trends and programming languages, LL.M., etc. There are also open electives where one can choose their desired subject to learn. Throughout all the years there will be fests, cultural events, and so many activities. There are more than 10 clubs on the campus and Mega Fest also happens once a year with grand gatherings of celebrities. NSS, NSO, and YRC are also there. They conduct camps. Connectivity is too good.

A great campus life at MIT, Chennai.

Placements: I am studying in my 3rd year where some companies came for pre-final year summer intern and 4 students got the opportunity to intern in companies like Western Digital. In the final year almost 60 percent of students have received a job offer. The highest package is up to 25 LPA given by Appian. There are multiple big firms visiting our college like Goldman Sachs, Apple, Samsung, etc. In our course core companies like Aptiv, Caterpillar, AMI, Western Digital, MBIT Wireless, and Schneider Electric visit. Some software companies are Barclays, Appian, Amex, Amazon, etc.

Infrastructure: We have two buildings LHC and RLHC that are student classrooms. We have a separate department building with many labs. MIT is free for all students after registration. The library has all the textbooks required for each sem. The department library also has many books. In hostel the food is very good and has a wide variety of menu. Canteen food is very cheap Rs. 30 for a meal and is very clean and tasty. There is an MIT health centre in the annexe with an ambulance for any emergency. MIT annexe also has a very big playground.

Faculty: Teachers are very experienced in the ECE department. Some staff are very strict but they build conceptual learning. Most of the subjects are lab integrated and we build projects from the 2nd semester. If we follow the staff notes perfectly. Mostly 80 percent of students manage to pass with good grades. We have two internal assessments and one end-of-semester assessment. Some assignments and activities are kept to boost the score.

Other: I chose this course because of the good lab facilities and good job opportunities. My course helps me build a foundation in both the hardware and software domains. Being a government Tier 1 college, I get a lot of benefits here. Some improvements can be improving campus infrastructure and reducing college time (8.30 AM to 4.30 PM) MITAFEST and Sivaranjini are cultural festa. Apocalypse and Focus are ECE depth technical fest. Also many club fests are organised.

Placements: Nearly 75 percent of the students get placed before leaving college life. The highest package varies among the sectors, the IT sector, and the core sector. Mostly, the IT sector is the one to give the highest salary. The average salary is 7 LPA- 9 LPA. The lowest is 4 LPA. The highest being 30 LPA. The top recruiting companies for the core sector of ECE are Mbit Wireless, Reliance, Siemens, Caterpillar, Schneider Electric, etc., and regarding the IT sector, we have Amazon, Visa, Oracle, Apple, Walmart, Appian, etc. Almost 65 percent of the students got internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good with enough facilities. We have libraries, even digital libraries, and classrooms with smart boards, we have auditoriums and open-air theaters, and we have labs with equipped computers in each department. We have an administrative block for student queries. About the hostel, the mess food is good with a variety of menu, you won't miss your home, because the students and seniors here make you feel at home. We havea 24/7 medical facility, Wi-Fi, drinking water facility, and hot water. The hostel rooms are spacious enough and are always neat. Separate cupboards are provided to keep things safe.

Faculty: Teachers are always approachable and are qualified. The teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum has been updated to the industry-level standard. Placements: Approximately 75% of our group is placed. Average salary is 5 LPA, the lowest is 3.2 LPA, and the highest package is 10.5 LPA. ABB, Siemens, Honeywell, and L&T are among the companies that hire students. Approximately 65% of students secured internships at automation startups, Reliance, and BHEL. Automation specialists, process control engineers, and instrumentation engineers are common positions.

Infrastructure: Although the labs have good sensors, PLC kits, calibration tools, and some of the equipment is antiquated. The library has few new journals but good reference books. The mess food is monotonous, but the hostel rooms are clean. The mess is better than the canteen snacks. The Wi-Fi is passable. The sports facilities are modest but well-equipped.

Faculty: While some of the faculty lack industry exposure, others are informed and helpful during projects. Although the curriculum provides a good job of covering the essentials, it needs more IoT and contemporary automation tools. Exams are fair, with a moderate pass rate of about 83%.

Placements: Students with a minimum CGPA of 7.2 are eligible for all the listed companies. The recruiting companies are Amazon, Visa, Adobe, Microsoft, and Bank of America. The roles offered are software developer and full-stack developer. The highest package is 30-40 LPA, and the lowest package is 4-8 LPA. Students with a CGPA above 8.5 got internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not excellent in my department, it is only average. Restrooms are not clean enough for emergency purposes. It is not like what is expected from private colleges. I am absolutely dissatisfied because of the facilities.

Placements: There are about 65% of the students who are placed in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the average package is 6.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini. The top role offered is software developer.

Infrastructure: The washrooms are very hygienic and clean. There is no proper water supply in the taps and lush. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is acceptable. The classrooms and labs are average. The hostel rooms are comfortable. A well-stocked library is available.

Faculty: The teachers are very rude and aggressive. The teaching quality is good, but they are not very helpful. Our course is not curriculum-relevant because these types of activities are conducted only happens in starting of the semester. The semester exams are difficult.
