A great campus life at MIT, Chennai.
Placements: I am studying in my 3rd year where some companies came for pre-final year summer intern and 4 students got the opportunity to intern in companies like Western Digital. In the final year almost 60 percent of students have received a job offer. The highest package is up to 25 LPA given by Appian. There are multiple big firms visiting our college like Goldman Sachs, Apple, Samsung, etc. In our course core companies like Aptiv, Caterpillar, AMI, Western Digital, MBIT Wireless, and Schneider Electric visit. Some software companies are Barclays, Appian, Amex, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: We have two buildings LHC and RLHC that are student classrooms. We have a separate department building with many labs. MIT is free for all students after registration. The library has all the textbooks required for each sem. The department library also has many books. In hostel the food is very good and has a wide variety of menu. Canteen food is very cheap Rs. 30 for a meal and is very clean and tasty. There is an MIT health centre in the annexe with an ambulance for any emergency. MIT annexe also has a very big playground.
Faculty: Teachers are very experienced in the ECE department. Some staff are very strict but they build conceptual learning. Most of the subjects are lab integrated and we build projects from the 2nd semester. If we follow the staff notes perfectly. Mostly 80 percent of students manage to pass with good grades. We have two internal assessments and one end-of-semester assessment. Some assignments and activities are kept to boost the score.
Other: I chose this course because of the good lab facilities and good job opportunities. My course helps me build a foundation in both the hardware and software domains. Being a government Tier 1 college, I get a lot of benefits here. Some improvements can be improving campus infrastructure and reducing college time (8.30 AM to 4.30 PM) MITAFEST and Sivaranjini are cultural festa. Apocalypse and Focus are ECE depth technical fest. Also many club fests are organised.

MIT: The brand serving knowledge for years.
Placements: Nearly 75 percent of the students get placed before leaving college life. The highest package varies among the sectors, the IT sector, and the core sector. Mostly, the IT sector is the one to give the highest salary. The average salary is 7 LPA- 9 LPA. The lowest is 4 LPA. The highest being 30 LPA. The top recruiting companies for the core sector of ECE are Mbit Wireless, Reliance, Siemens, Caterpillar, Schneider Electric, etc., and regarding the IT sector, we have Amazon, Visa, Oracle, Apple, Walmart, Appian, etc. Almost 65 percent of the students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good with enough facilities. We have libraries, even digital libraries, and classrooms with smart boards, we have auditoriums and open-air theaters, and we have labs with equipped computers in each department. We have an administrative block for student queries. About the hostel, the mess food is good with a variety of menu, you won't miss your home, because the students and seniors here make you feel at home. We havea 24/7 medical facility, Wi-Fi, drinking water facility, and hot water. The hostel rooms are spacious enough and are always neat. Separate cupboards are provided to keep things safe.
Faculty: Teachers are always approachable and are qualified. The teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum has been updated to the industry-level standard. ECE students get to know a lot about the course, and practical implementation is also encouraged. The semester exams are a bit difficult only for those who didn't study or listen to the lectures. As the faculty themselves correct the paper, the semester exams are good.

Anti vaanam santhi saaya vanthen MIT ku!
Placements: Every year, around 85 percent of students are placed; the remaining students pursue higher education or prepare for UPSC exams. The highest package is 27 Lacs per annum, and the lowest is 6.5 Lacs per annum. IT sectors are major recruiters. Internships are available at Amazon, Matlab, and Qualcomm, and students are hired depending on their performance. The campus is only visited by a small number of core companies. 20% to 40% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices are available. Hostel rates, including mess fees, are 36,000 per semester. In comparison to other institutions, the food quality is great. The canteen is located on campus, and the food is extremely inexpensive. The health facility is close to the hostel and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a cricket ground, a shuttle, volleyball courts, and artificial rock climbing. LHC and RHLC are the two lecture hall complexes. The classrooms are big and well-ventilated. ECE has two department buildings. The laboratories are well-equipped with advanced instruments that will be maintained. Every year, a large sum of money is invested in the development of laboratories. We have an ECE department library as well as a campus library. The in-time for both boys and girls is 7:30 p.m.
Faculty: Staff will only assist you if you approach them. There is no particular attention provided. Staff are generous. Nobody expects you to study. Nobody cares about your grades. Most personnel have completed their Ph.D. or are seeking their Ph.D. Semester exams are simple to pass. To pass the tests, you must score 50% on internals and 50% on externals.
Other: Our college has a t series culture. Seniors assist and guide us to achieve academic success. Tamil mandram, picture society, mit quill, pda, csmit, Mitra, variety team, and many other clubs are available to help you develop your personal interests. Several fests take place during the semesters. ECE department festivals include Apocalypse and e Focus. Scholarships for Amitaa, ffe, and nsp are available. We must apply for it during the first year. Many activities are organized by NSO nss, yrc, and Rotaract clubs. They have their own fests. You will never be regretful for enrolling in this college.

Our college is good and I would rate 4.5 for our college.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are TCS, CTS, Wipro, Accenture, etc. Some top companies like Western Digital visit our campus but they do not offer huge placements. Less than 10 students get placed. Silicon Laboratory is the highest-paid company this academic year.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean in this college. The benches and chairs are in good condition. Laboratories are also good. The instruments used in the laboratory sometimes get repaired and the reading is inaccurate. The food served in the canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good, knowledgeable, and friendly. There are 8-semester exams and the difficulty depends on the subjects. Some subjects are very easy to clear.
Other: Fests are very famous and other college students participate for entertainment.

MIT is a heavenly college where students feel great.
Placements: Many good companies visit our college for placements, and they offer huge salary packages. Students with few backlogs will get a better opportunity to get placed. Many reputed companies visit our campus for placements. Students with good coding knowledge will have a strong chance for getting placed, and they can stand out from the crowd. But the others who have decent knowledge can also get placed because of the good placement team of our college. Specific teachers are allocated to guide the students during placements.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with the latest equipment and labs which are essential for an engineering graduate. Labs were also well-maintained so that students will be interested in doing the lab sessions. The college also has good labs for networking, which can even help students to prepare for CCNA courses.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are really helpful and would be very particular in explaining the concepts. Many teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of questions they give and they solve really help students in developing their analytical skills.
Other: Mitafest is a notable cultural organised here, which will be the best fest. Even other fests were organised here. The campus surroundings were good.

In Anna university counselling, they will consider only intermediate percentage but not JEE mains score. But your intermediate percentage is too low for getting into Madras Institute of Technology, so try some other college.

Hello Syed, You need to enroll for a counseling program called TNEA through which you can get admission based on your PCM aggregate for TN, TN native and other state candidates. For NRI and foreign nationals, there is a different procedure and so you may contact the admin of Anna University.

Hello Shashank, The admission is based on board exam marks only and so you need to have a great score. Though your score is not bad, it is not enough to get you a seat in MIT as it is well reputed.

Hello Puneeth, Yes, it is same. MIT is one of the constituent colleges of Anna University. So, you need to apply via TNEA counselling to get admission into any of these two colleges.
