Mahila College, Godda has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

B.A.	Candidate must have completed 10+2 from any recognised Board/Council.
B.A. (Hons)	Candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognised Board/Council.
B.Sc.	Candidate must have passed 10+2 in Science stream with above mentioned marks from any recognised Board/Council.

Humanities as a stream provides a wide range of courses that can be studied after completing their 12th grade. Pursuing any of these degrees prepares you to understand the various levels of humanities and, as a result, carve out an appropriate job path. Candidates in the humanities can apply for positions in the government sector, such as banking firms, government ministries, legal firms, and political analysts.

Content Writer, Civil Services, Human Resource Manager, Defense Services, Lawyer, Journalist, Counsellor, and Therapist positions are available. As freshers, humanities graduates can expect to earn between INR 2-6 LPA.

Students with an artistic background have a wide range of professional alternatives. While performing arts provide options in acting, dancing, directing, and producing, visual arts and design offer pathways like graphic design, illustration, and art direction. Digital marketing experts, social media managers, and content producers are common positions in the field of digital media and communication.

Options for authorship, content development, and journalism are presented by writing and journalism. Furthermore, curators of galleries or museums are included in the field of arts administration. An arts degree's adaptability enables people to work in a variety of sectors, bringing creativity and critical thinking to disciplines like media and entertainment, design, and administration.

Elective subjects are subjects that are part of a course curriculum that do not cover the core concepts related to the course. These subjects are usually choice-based. These subjects are related to the core subjects or the career path one can pursue after completing the course. 

In Humanities and Social Science subjects,  there are more theoretical aspects that need to be learned and analysed. Simply the reason why there are higher studies and students can do research work through programmes such as Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Humanities courses use interpretive approaches in which critical thinking is used to consider various ideas/ideologies. It also focuses on providing insight into themes such as the human condition and ethics.
