Diploma in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2026

Tough exams, industry-ready labs.
Placements: Placement scenes are a bit rough. Only a small chunk of students land jobs. Top package is around 30k, but the lowest is super low. Big recruiters hail from Malappuram, Calicut, and Ernakulam, with Civil and EEE grades snagging most offers. To boost this, the college could link up with bigger companies outside the region and train students for hot fields like IT.
Infrastructure: Our college rocks with Wi-Fi, awesome civil labs, and a seek computer eng lab. A canteen's nearby for tasty bites. Women's hostel on campus, guys stay in private hostels close by. We've got a library and college buses for easy commute, and an average-level campus.
Faculty: Our college runs semester exams, with two internal series exams each time. The subjects feel real-world, and the labs are super industry-focused, prepping us for jobs. But those semester exams, they're tough, with a low pass rate, so we're always hitting the books.

Decent college experience with good placements.
Placements: Placements are well managed in our college, and many reputed companies visit the campus every year for recruitment. A good percentage of students get placed with decent salary packages, and several also receive internship opportunities in top organizations. The placement cell is active and supportive, ensuring students are well-prepared for interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is just okay and could be a lot better. Some of the labs and classrooms feel outdated and don't match modern standards. Hostel facilities are also below expectations, with small rooms, average maintenance, and food quality that needs improvement. Overall, both the course infrastructure and hostel require more attention, so I would only rate them 2 stars.
Faculty: The faculty in our course is decent, though the teaching quality really depends on the professor. Some are very supportive and explain things well, while others are not as engaging. The curriculum is okay, but it feels a little outdated compared to what companies look for today. Exams are fair and not too difficult, but they often focus more on theory than practical skills. Overall, it's manageable but has scope for improvement, so I'd give it 3 stars.
Other: The campus life is enjoyable with cultural fests, technical events, and an active student crowd. The surroundings are peaceful, and connectivity is decent. Scholarships and extracurricular activities also support students well, though the hostel and infrastructure still need improvement.

Campus life is not in existence at this college.
Placements: Quarter students will be placed instantly, mainly EEE and auto or mechanical students will get placed. All students will get internships before completing the course. The campus will provide campus placement like a yearly campaign, I think that's a helpful thing.
Infrastructure: We have good labs. I mean, the lab facility is not that great but it's sufficient for the purpose. We have a library with a lot of books in curriculum. It doesn't provide hostel, they have women's hostel. There are lot of private hostels near the college. They also provide bus facilities.
Faculty: I am satisfied with the curriculum. There is a lot of practicality compared to others. There are a lot of labs, the first is basics of engineering and science. In the second year, you will actually enter the department. Its an industry ready curriculum. In case of exams, there are 2 internal exams in a semester. The semester is not that difficult, if you are interested in the department. You will get pass over it.

Good learning but needs more practical exposure.
Placements: My college is very good with supportive teachers and a positive campus atmosphere. Many companies visit every year for placements, giving students good career opportunities. Along with academics, workshops and training programs help us gain extra knowledge and confidence.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course is poor, with classrooms and labs not well-maintained and lacking proper facilities. The hostel is also in bad condition, with problems in cleanliness, food, and basic maintenance, which makes student life uncomfortable.
Faculty: The faculty is okay but not very supportive at times, which makes it difficult for students to get proper guidance. The curriculum feels outdated and does not provide enough practical exposure that is needed for the industry. Exams are not well managed, and the evaluation process is often unfair, which creates stress among students. Overall, the system needs a lot of improvement in teaching quality, syllabus update, and exam organisation to give students a better learning experience.
Other: Overall, my batch had good learning and fun experiences, but I hope the college focuses more on practical exposure and facilities for future students.

Our college campus is not in good shape.
Placements: Placements are one of the most important parts of college life because they help students start their careers. Every year, colleges conduct placement programs where many companies visit the campus to hire students. But even though a lot of companies come, the overall placement rate in many colleges still remains low. The main reason for this is the gap between what companies expect and what students are actually prepared for. Most students focus only on classroom knowledge, while companies look for practical skills, good communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good number of facilities that make learning easier for students. One of the main things is Wi-Fi, which is available almost everywhere on campus, so students can easily connect to the internet for study purposes. Whether it is downloading study materials, attending online classes, or searching for projects, the internet is always accessible. This really helps us keep up with the digital way of learning. Another strength of our college is the number of classrooms. There are so many classes spread across the campus.
Faculty: One problem in our college is the teaching quality. The way of teaching is very basic and many times it does not go beyond the textbook. Because of this, students don't get enough depth in the subject, and it becomes hard to apply the knowledge in real life. Classes often feel like just note reading, without much explanation or examples.
Other: The college campus is not in good condition. The environment looks dull and is not well-maintained. Many areas are not clean, and the facilities are very basic. The campus does not give a fresh or positive feeling to students.

Satisfied with faculty members, but not the campus.
Placements: The placement percentage for my course (Computer Engineering) is 30%. You can get a job quickly in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. The packages are on the lower side because of the lack of experience.
Infrastructure: There is a girls' hostel run by Majlis Arts, but there is no college hostel by Majlis Polytechnic College. There is Wi-Fi for faculty members and labs, but not for students. The library is filled with books related to the curriculum, not novels and other things. There is a canteen near the college, and it is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly, but they are not very qualified or experienced. They are freshers. The course prepares students for industry through practical work because there are a lot of labs. The semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage in the first year is high, but it is low in later years.
