I am satisfied with the college. It has good faculty members and facilities.
Placements: MSAP placements are existent but limited. It is offered to only the best students of the batch for the Bachelor of Architecture. It has a very active aluminium community that recruits students on behalf of their firms. Out of the selective group of students, a fair number of students do get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch with smartboards for education, highly equipped printing labs, 3d printing labs, VR labs, a library with all the books we need, auditoriums, work studios, a building materials lab, survey labs, good Wi-Fi, and classrooms with plenty of light, air, and charging points. Hostels are well-maintained and standard. There are both AC and non-AC rooms with attached and non-attached bathrooms, from single to triple sharing for female and male, with Wi-Fi. There are staff members for cleaning and laundry services. There are 4-5 types of mess facilities, and we can sign up for them with good, tasty, and hygienic food. Medical facilities are also available here.
Faculty: Our college has great and qualified faculty members. They are very helpful and attentive to our doubts and needs. They are master's or PhD-qualified. The course curriculum has changed for the recent batches, and they've made it more relevant now. There are great workshops and seminars for training, practicing, and influential professionals, which are organised for students to keep them aware of the industry and practices. It has very up-to-date faculty members.

Manipal - The student town.
Placements: My course is bachelors as well as masters, and good firms send in applications for placements. Student experience during their internship, and mostly get placed depending on their CGPA. Mostly firms are from Bangalore, Hyderabad, and other cities too.
Infrastructure: We have our own campus designed in a way that considers student and staff. College has an amazing view. There is a lot of open space within campus. Even classes are well designed, keeping in mind sustainability. We do have labs, Wi-Fi, and printing area for our preparations as well as allotted classes course-wise. Library is also there. We do have canteen and faculty lounge for girls on our campus.
Faculty: We have good and qualified professors in college for all the courses. We have practical exams starting from 6 hours then as semester passes be it's increased to 18 hours. There are other theory written papers that also carry credit in order to pass the semester.
Other: It's interesting, and it's a creative field. We do have events every semester for a week, and the student body is majorly involved in preparations and faculty support too. We do have inter-college events and competitions held throughout.

Good infrastructure, no AC classrooms and some great faculty members every semester.
Placements: I'm not sure about the recruiting as a second-year student. They do mention a lot of placements and internship chances on their website and in their marketing campaigns. But I am not quite sure about this. As a first-year student, they had asked us to go for a summer internship of our choice and submit the necessary documents afterwards to prove the same.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is, in fact, great but it takes a lot of time to adhere to the path and accesses. The feeling intends to get higher every year. However, there is no AC facility in any of the classrooms except for the CAD labs. It is hard to survive during the summer.
Faculty: The majority faculty members are excellently hire with great communication skills and fair mindedness. The end semester exams are of a total 12 hours drawing/ drafting, 2 day viva and 2 day of theory written exam. The curriculum is great except for some of the faculty are not given beforehand information on what has already been taught and looked at.

Our college has good faculty members, average infrastructure, and excellent crowd and campus life.
Placements: Almost 70% of students are placed in this course. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies like L&T, Studio Mumbai, Sanjay Puri Architects, Studio Lotus, etc., visit our campus. Almost 70% of students got internships. Internships completely depend on your personal skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to the mark. Air-conditioners are not available in classrooms and drafting tables are very old. The hostel is good and well-furnished. Both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms are available. Hot water and internet are available. Mess food is also very good. Both north Indian and south Indian food are available. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are available. There are midnight canteens available in every hostel which are open till midnight.
Faculty: Faculty members are worth the fee you have paid. Most of them are IIT graduates or from other highly designated universities. This course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not so tough. If you are completely prepared, you can easily score above 75%. The pass percentage is 50%.

College life at this college is very good.
Placements: The architecture course doesn't have any placements, so you must search for placements on your own. The training and placement cell might help. Batchmates got placed in various firms all over the country. Depending on performance, few students who joined as interns continued as junior architects.
Infrastructure: We share the same hostels with multiple colleges on the MIT campus, but all hostels are well-constructed. They are lively, and there are several student centres. The college is currently a part of the engineering department's building, but it will be soon shifted to its dedicated building.
Faculty: The syllabus of 2014 is different from what is followed currently. Students are not that industry-ready, but it is not necessarily specific to MSAP. Most of the teachers are helpful.
Other: We have only one fest named Opus and a sports event named Seige. More importance is given to academics here.

Our college provides good faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: Since it's an architecture college, students usually opt to work under other firms. But in Manipal School of Architecture and Planning, you get a good experience and also with great faculty members and seniors. It makes it easier. Most of the alumni have their firms in large cities while others work for big firms.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. They are going to shift to another building after a few years. Hostels are very spacious and have all the facilities required, and hygienic food is served in the mess. The campus also has some public gathering places to enjoy nature.
Faculty: The course curriculum is as prescribed by the council of architecture. Faculty members are well experienced and have good knowledge about the work. Most of the faculty members are holding PhDs in their respective subjects and are highly knowledgeable. They have a vast idea about most of the topics.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in planning.

Q:   Can I get into Manipal School of Arch & Planning MDes with 70% in class 12th?
A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Manipal School of Architecture and Planning has a great deal of history. It started in the year 1978 under Mysore University but within a few years came under Mangalore University in 1980. Since the year 2010 it has been part of Mahipal Academy of higher Education or MAHE in short.

Yes you can definitely get admission for undergraduate courses, in this Institute with just about 70% marks in your 12th examination. However for getting admission in Bachelor of architecture, a student has to pass an examination conducted nationally called NATA. As per the data available, to get admission into Manipal a student has to score above 120 in this examination. For getting admission into design there is no entrance exam whatsoever. MSAP is ranked quite high amongst its peers across the country. In fact the NIRF ranking of this institute is #6. It also has NAAC grading of A+. Both these facts make students flock to this institute in large numbers and as a result even though there is no entrance examination a student need to score quite high in 12th examination. Of course 70% marks that you are quoting is also quite good and it may be but I have good enough to get you admission.

Best wishes to you.

A:

At MSAP, there is only 1 specialisation of BDes course available at MSAP which is BDes in Interior Design. During counseling rounds, candidates are alloted their chosen centers and seats into their preffered course. The MET exam follows the same pattern for every course admission.

Q:   What is the admission fees for BDes courses at MSAP?
A:

The admission fees at MSAP for BDes courses is the same as the payable fees. It is not clear whether the admission fee is the total course fee for the BDes course at MSAP which is INR 7.2 Lacs or the fee for the first instalment which is INR 1.8 lakh.
