Manipal School of Architecture and Planning Highlights 2025
Established in 1978 with a B.Arch degree under Mysore University, the Manipal School of Architecture and Planning is a constituent of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (NAAC accredited). MSAP is ranked 15 in the country for NIRF 2022 and is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi. The college is ISO certified and is a member of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), New Delhi. MSAP Manipal offers UG, PG, and certificate courses to students across Interior Design, Fashion Design, and various other streams. Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP) offers two courses in M.Des: Sustainable Design and Interior Design. Both courses are of 2 years duration and have a fee of 3,26,000 per year. The eligibility criteria for both courses is to pass in B.Arch. / B.Tech. (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical) from a recognised University, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent. The selection process involves a Home Based Test followed by a Personal Interview.
MSAP is ranked 2nd among all top architecture colleges in private by IIRF- 2023, 3rd among all colleges in private by Outlook- ICARE in 2022, is ranked 18th among top architectural schools in the country, in NIRF, 2021, is also ranked 2nd among all colleges in private by Outlook- ICARE, the weekly news magazine, and is also ranked 9th in top architectural colleges in India by India Today1. It is recognised by the Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi, India and is an Institutional Member, of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), New Delhi.
MSAP has well-equipped design studios, library, CAD lab, sustainability and climatology lab, and seminar halls. It also has highly qualified and experienced faculty members in the domain of sustainable design and interior design. The courses cover high demand areas of building performance and simulation, sustainable and green building design, design computing, building automation, net-zero energy buildings, energy economics, etc. for sustainable design; and contemporary interior design environment, research, theory, design education and practice for interior design.
