Review of MCE - Malnad College of Engineering.
Placements: I am currently in the 2nd year, and I am sharing my experience. Regarding placements, the minimum package for internships or placements are around 7 to 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi connections for students. Wi-Fi is high-speed and available 24/7. The library is inside the college campus and has a lot of books, which are divided by branch. Watchmen do not allow entry to the college without showing an ID card. The college has three main gates.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and well educated. They help students become industry-ready and learn extra skills through extra classes. Exams are difficult, and semester examinations are also difficult.
Other: I am in the second year of Information Science and Engineering. I apply for scholarships. The college conducts events and fests yearly and month-wise.

Review of MCE - Malnad College of Engineering.
Placements: We are the last batch in our branch, as placements go down, especially for CS-related fields, due to recession and AI automation. Placements are now at their lowest. This year, only 3-4 students get offers, with an average of 4-5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys are top recruiters, and all are service-based companies.
Infrastructure: The library is decent, but full of old books. Wi-Fi is available, and you have to register to get student Wi-Fi. Classrooms are decent with projectors. Mess is not large, so it gets overcrowded at break time. The sports and games facilities are average. The ground is not good and not well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They clarify doubts, but the teaching method is not good as they just continuously run the PPT. They do not use the board frequently, especially for subjects like Java and OS. The old curriculum is not relevant in this AI era. Semester exams are difficult. They make 2 papers, one from the branch and the other from another college. Usually, the external papers are hard, and the college papers are medium.
Other: I come here because I do not get CS. I am interested in CS because I love programming. The course focuses on old theory, not relevant to industry-standard skills. They must improve that. They do fests like Jamboree and all, it is well organised, and there are many activities to participate in.

Satisfied with my college and the facilities provided. Good infrastructure.
Placements: 30%-40% of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 6.5 LPA, the lowest is 4.5 LPA, and the average is 5.5 LPA. The top recruiting company is Schneider Electric. 50%-70% of students got internships from my course. Internship was chosen by students based on their interests.
Infrastructure: My department has a library. You need to pay just Rs. 350 and they provide books until you graduate, also there is a computer centre where you can sit and do your tasks. Wi-Fi is available, and there are 4 different labs allotted to individuals as per their requirements. All facilities are available, including bus and food, which can be rated 9/10. There is a gym area in our college, a shuttle badminton court, table tennis court, and large area for playing outdoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and they are well-qualified. They help us in every aspect, starting from subjects to placement. Many workshops and many programs are held so that students can make use of them. Semester exams are more difficult than normal internals. 40% is the passing percentage.
Other: Almost 10-15 events are held in a year by clubs and students. Out of these, 2 are main events, which are held in even sem and odd sem, respectively. Workshops are held, hackathons are held, and students are allowed to participate in other events. Campus is quiet, and we have a central library, and the best thing about our course is that we get practical skills.

We are satisfied with our faculty members and there is good placement.
Placements: 8% of students got placed. Minimum salary was 2 LPA, and 20 LPA was maximum salary package. Mercedes was in top company. About 30% of students got internships. Computer science was top role but some courses of MBA were also available for business.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not available. Classrooms were also average in our department. Classrooms were very old and not that clean. But library was vast and good. Hostel infrastructure was fine. The quality of food was also good. Medical facilities were not that good but we had sports activities and games were played regularly.
Faculty: Teachers were not helpful, they will never support you and clear your doubts. But they were knowledgeable and the teaching quality was fine. The course curriculum was relevant, and it made students industry-ready. It was difficult, maybe 35% was the passing percentage.
Other: I could get both business and computer science knowledge which was the reason I chose this course. By a neat infrastructure and good timetable.

It is a good college and not that bad. Students can join this college.
Placements: The college charges Rs. 22,000 for the KCET exam. The college charges Rs. 35,000 for the Comedk exam. The lowest package is 2 LPA and the highest package is 20 LPA. I think they pay me around eight or seven lakhs and the base is also important. Skills are more important than CGPA. We need to develop different kinds of skills to get placed in different companies.
Infrastructure: It has good buildings and infrastructure. Labs and classroom building infrastructure should be improved, but they are good enough. The campus is large with well-developed buildings and an environment.
Faculty: Semester exams are quite tough, but we can manage. We can get high-level questions, but we need to read everything as I know it will be not that difficult. However, they are a little difficult so we can pass the exams, and we need to do hard work. Faculty members are really good, well-behaved, and knowledgeable. They are good at teaching as well.
Other: Software engineering has more scope than other branches, so I chose the computer science and engineering course.

Honest review of MCE - Malnad College of Engineering.
Placements: Only a few percentage of students got placed in the previous year. Most of them are jobless. They said it was due to a recession. There is no hope that the situation will improve. However, the highest package is 12 LPA by Licious in 2023. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are mainly Accenture, Infosys, and TCS. Many students get internships in various companies like Mercedes Benz. Top roles offered are software engineer, system engineer, and design engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Classrooms are okay. It has a Wi-Fi for students. The library is one of their best features. It is spacious and has many books. We can borrow books even without library cards. The canteen is quite satisfactory. The food is hygienic and tastes good. It has a girl's waiting hall, where girls can stay and spend their free time. It has gyms and a sports room for indoor games. It has large fields for outdoor sports. It also has an eco-park, pool, laboratories, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly helpful and kind. They are friendly and have good teaching skills. Though it might depend on teachers we get. Most of them are good. The course curriculum is okay, and most of the courses are relevant. However, a few of them like UI/UXare outdated. It is really easy to pass semester exams. Most of the papers are average. However, it can be difficult to score.
Other: I chose this course because it is the best option in my rank. The thing is that if we are not in any clubs then our college life becomes quite boring. But we can attend many fests. Each club conducts its own set of events. There are a variety of clubs, we can join to improve our connectivity, etc. Apart from these club events, we can be part of the cultural team or sports. It also conducts inter-branch sports each year.
