It is a good college and not that bad. Students can join this college.

Placements: The college charges Rs. 22,000 for the KCET exam. The college charges Rs. 35,000 for the Comedk exam. The lowest package is 2 LPA and the highest package is 20 LPA. I think they pay me around eight or seven lakhs and the base is also important. Skills are more important than CGPA. We need to develop different kinds of skills to get placed in different companies.

Infrastructure: It has good buildings and infrastructure. Labs and classroom building infrastructure should be improved, but they are good enough. The campus is large with well-developed buildings and an environment.

Faculty: Semester exams are quite tough, but we can manage. We can get high-level questions, but we need to read everything as I know it will be not that difficult. However, they are a little difficult so we can pass the exams, and we need to do hard work. Faculty members are really good, well-behaved, and knowledgeable. They are good at teaching as well.

Other: Software engineering has more scope than other branches, so I chose the computer science and engineering course.

Honest review of MCE - Malnad College of Engineering.

Placements: Only a few percentage of students got placed in the previous year. Most of them are jobless. They said it was due to a recession. There is no hope that the situation will improve. However, the highest package is 12 LPA by Licious in 2023. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are mainly Accenture, Infosys, and TCS. Many students get internships in various companies like Mercedes Benz. Top roles offered are software engineer, system engineer, and design engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Classrooms are okay. It has a Wi-Fi for students. The library is one of their best features. It is spacious and has many books. We can borrow books even without library cards. The canteen is quite satisfactory. The food is hygienic and tastes good. It has a girl's waiting hall, where girls can stay and spend their free time. It has gyms and a sports room for indoor games. It has large fields for outdoor sports. It also has an eco-park, pool, laboratories, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are mostly helpful and kind. They are friendly and have good teaching skills. Though it might depend on teachers we get. Most of them are good. The course curriculum is okay, and most of the courses are relevant. However, a few of them like UI/UXare outdated. It is really easy to pass semester exams. Most of the papers are average. However, it can be difficult to score.

Other: I chose this course because it is the best option in my rank. The thing is that if we are not in any clubs then our college life becomes quite boring. But we can attend many fests. Each club conducts its own set of events. There are a variety of clubs, we can join to improve our connectivity, etc. Apart from these club events, we can be part of the cultural team or sports. It also conducts inter-branch sports each year.

Our college has good infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: Placements in our college are good if you maintain a very good CGPA like above 7.5. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The main recruitment is from Accenture, Benz, Microsoft, and One Trust. Placements are good enough, but you have to study much harder if you want to get placed from hardware branches.

Infrastructure: We have hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The infrastructure is good. The library provides library cards so that you can issue 4-5 books throughout the year. You get free Wi-Fi, all you need to register in college. You will get Wi-Fi in the library, hostel, and college also. We have canteen facilities in the college boundary as well co-operative stores so that you can afford, photocopy, pens, and essentials.

Faculty: The teaching staff is well experience concerned with software branches The lecturers are well versed and experienced. They discuss answers after the examination and clarify doubts. They get us for field visits, workshops, and all. The exams are truly based on the knowledge you gain and you can check your answer papers after evaluation so that they maintain transparency.

Other: In the computer science branch, you can get easily placed if you have the subject knowledge and if lecturers explained the subjects thoroughly. You can gain knowledge about web designing, data structures, and cyber security.

I am dissatisfied because of the management.

Placements: About 60-70% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is around 5.7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is about 2.4 LPA. Companies like Accenture and Mercedes Benz recruited a couple of students. Almost everyone who got placed got an internship within the company in which they got placed. The role offered is mostly as a tester.

Infrastructure: The college Wi-Fi is not good, and it is slow. Labs are not well-equipped, but they are barely sufficient. There are a stacked library and old classrooms once you enter 2nd year. The hostel is expensive and bad, even in food and facilities. It is better to stay in a PG. The canteen is average. There is a gym, good sports faculty members and support, but the college is not student-friendly. They don't care about students, but they only care about money.

Faculty: Staff members are great and supportive, but some of them are not friendly. The principal is great, and the environment is calm. Lecturers are quite good, and they care for students. As it is an autonomous college, it has a bit of its curriculum updated than the rest. It also has industry visits, but they are not many.

Other: There are many events and activities. There are 5 to 6 clubs that conduct their own fests each year, which are quite fun. There is a scholarship programme.

I am satisfied with my decision of selecting Malnad College of Engineering for my engineering.

Placements: Most of the students from our branch got placed with the help of training provided in our college with an average salary package of 4-5 LPA. Some of the companies which visit our campus for placements are Mercedes Benz R&D, Accenture, TCS, Persistent Systems, Bosch, Cognizant and Infosys.

Infrastructure: There are well-equipped labs with enough systems to provide to every student in our branch. There is also a good Wi-Fi facility in our college for us, which is handled and managed by the network department. The boy's hostel is situated inside the campus, while the girl's hostel is outside the campus. Both the hostels are maintained with good quality. There is a bus facility for girls to come from hostel to college and return to the hostel.

Faculty: We are taught by qualified and experienced teachers who teach us very well. Different workshops are conducted for the benefit of students with their course curriculum. Our course curriculum contains all the necessary subjects which are relevant to the current IT industry.

Other: There are 9 student clubs in our college. Few of them are technical, while a few are non-technical. Fests are organised in odd and even semesters, which provide great exposure for students to showcase their talents.

Faculty members, placements and infrastructure are very good.

Placements: Training for placements in the college is brilliant as they cover every bit required from aptitude to interview. Placements for technical branches are excellent, but for non-technical, it is average at best. Some of the top recruiting companies include Benz, Bosch, Accenture, Soorya, Persistent and TCS. About 75-80% of the students got placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good with neatly maintained classrooms and an excellent library. There are proper medical facilities and also good facilities for sports and games. Quality of hostels is above average as buildings are quite old, and washrooms are not properly maintained.

Faculty: Teachers are well-trained and highly qualified, and the style of teaching is also very understandable for the students. The style of teaching is a mix of both smart classrooms and blackboard teaching. Labs are well-equipped. The syllabus for our batch was a bit old, but they have changed the syllabus for the junior year, which is more related to the current industrial trends.

Other: Campus life is one of the best as compared to other colleges in the city. The college has various clubs in which students can sharpen their team building and administrative skills. There are college fests in each semester, and sports meet is also conducted in the odd semester. Scholarships are also offered to the underprivileged students and also to the students who perform well in academics.

It is one of the best colleges in Karnataka.

Placements: I think about 50% of total strength has been selected in placements this time. The placement officer is good, and he will be available for students at most of the time. He will keep planning to call many companies which will be helpful for the students.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are quite good at this college, and they provide quality food. Maintenance of hostel is better as compared to other hostels. Wi-Fi is provided here. Non-vegetarian and egg will also be provided once a week. Laboratories and library are also in a good position where we can acquire some good knowledge.

Faculty: Lecturers are very helpful for students here, and they have enough knowledge to teach us. Lecturers will come to class with preparation, and they will teach us with many examples. We are highly satisfied to have these kinds of lecturers.

Good placements in the year 2020.

Placements: Around 70-80% students of our college are placed in atleast one company. The highest salary offered was10lpa and the lowest offered was 3.5lpa. The top recruiting companies were Cognizant, Accenture, Amazon. Th etop roles were offered of Software developer. Around 30% students have done internship.

Infrastructure: Spacious classrooms are provided along with labs. Wi-Fi is also available but not completely for personal use and the library is also good, it has almost all the books needed. Hostel is also good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they have very commanding knowledge over their subjects. All the teachers are qualified and they clear all our doubts whenever we ask them.
