MCKV Institute of Engineering offers a four-year course of BTech across nine specialisations. The college offers this course in affiliation with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) through several departments of Engineering. Apart from this, the college also offers admission directly to the second year of BTech through (Lateral Entry) to students who have studied for Diploma or those who are BSc degree holders. Admission to both courses at MCKVIE is entrance-based.
- Candidates who have passed Class 12 with 45% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Technical Vocational subjects (in both theory and practical) (40% aggregate for reserved category) can apply for BTech course.
- Aspirants must have passed Class 12 with 30% aggregate in English from a recognised board.
- Both BSc Candidates and Diploma holders in Engineering & Technology will also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree Courses. The admission shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
- If BSc students are willing to take admission in BTech Lateral Entry, their upper age limit must be 27, they must have passed Class 12 with 45% aggregate from any University recognized by UGC. These candidates will be considered for admission only if vacancies remain even after filling the seats with available Diploma holder candidates.
