The minimum cut-off at Meerut Institute of Technology for B.Tech is based on the JEE cut-off or PCM 12th grades. The college also offers direct admission to students by filling out the application form at the portal or by visiting the admin block at the college. The cut-off for JEE is usually based on the rank and the closing rank for general category/Unreserved is 3,24,565 the admission is also given based on 12th grade under the management quota under which the candidate should have a minimum of 70 percent. While the students who have done Diploma can get lateral entry into the college in the second year.

The total Course Fee of B.Tech at Meerut Institute of Technology is INR 4.08 Lakhs. B.Tech is a four-year programme in which fees are paid every year. Every year has two semesters. So, there are eight semesters in the programme and the fee of eight semesters is INR 4.08 LPA. The Fee is paid every year which means that the fee of one year for B.Tech is INR 1.2 Lakhs per annum. The average compensation package was 6.5 LPA. However, according to the NIRF 2022 report, MIET placements in 2021 involved a total of 607 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. The typical salary for BTech students was INR 3.60 LPA. The median compensation for MBA and MPharma programs was INR 3.75 LPA and INR 3.12 LPA, respectively.

Candidates should have passed Class 12 from UP board/ CBSE or any other equivalent board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45% aggregate in Class 12 (40% for SC/ ST candidates) is eligible for the Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology BTech programme. Candidates must also have a valid score in the JEE Main exams or in CUET exam.
