Yes, you can join Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology directly. There is no such entrance exam specially for getting admission in Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology. The candidate have to pass his 12th with at least 60% in aggregate, and have to go through JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination) for B.Tech. Earlier there was a particular entrance exam called UPTU but now they give admission on the basis of JEE Mains only. Once you clear the cut off then you have to fill counselling form for colleges and according to your score or rank, you will get the college.

The general admission process for the MIET Meerut BTech course is through the entrance exam. The university accepts national or state-level entrance exams like JEE Main or CUET.

The counselling process of shortlisted candidates will be managed and regulated by Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling is an admission process held annually by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Based on which the candidates will be allotted seats. The seat allotment is based on the affiliated college cutoff and the candidate's preference for courses and colleges.
