The college has a good infrastructure.

Placements: Merchant Engineering College is the best platform for me, and because of that, I have chosen the right path and also the right field.

Infrastructure: Our course is electrical engineering. Our college hostel is near to the college, which is 1 km, so it reduces the time. In the hostel, food facility is the best. There is a big ground for sport, and students are going daily in the early morning for cricket. The college is eco-friendly.

Faculty: In Merchant Engineering College, staff members of electrical engineering are very good in communication skills. There are a total of 30 teachers, and for all subjects, different teachers are allotted. All staff members are the best at teaching.

Other: In our college, in a week, an event happens for the electrical branch in which all the students join. Scholarships are offered to SC or ST cast students.

Placements: Our college has tie-ups with some MNC, as well as some well-reputed company, and it's very helpful for all the students of our college as it creates opportunities. In 2017, from our batch, more than 20 students got a golden opportunity of MNC in Oman. The academic excellence reflect in its students record in placement in corporate and engineering field. MEC has consistently maintained an excellent recruitment record and stand testimony in the college.

Infrastructure: The institute has developed with well-equipped computer centre, and computer lab, and the latest computer network. All the labs are well-equipped with modern equipment for the students of the college. The institute provides spacious classrooms and fully equipped with ultra-modern facilities. The seminar hall in the college is fully media equipped with LCD, overhead projector, HD sound system, and capable of 200 viewer seats.

Faculty: The institute has highly qualified and experienced staff dedicated to imparting the best of the training to the students with interactive classroom teaching and personal attention. The faculty members are carefully chosen in the college not only on bases of their academic competence but also their ability to take up the role of mentor for students.

From education perspective, one should choose our college. Placement hopes not going to materialise.

Placements: Absolutely no placement. We had no companies for placement during the end of our course. We have paid some money apart from our course money to get placed. But hopes were not worthy of anything. Besides, other departments from our college faced the same problem. We did get marketing jobs offer but no one was interested.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure. The whole campus was well ventilated. The classrooms were good to hear the teacher's voice even at the back. Sloppy seats provided better visions. We wished auditoriums were good enough too. Voice damping was not good. The gardens were good to roam around in free times. The library was good and silent.

Faculty: The faculty was great. A few members were experienced and fewer were new. So we had a mixed guideline for better growth. I had no queries unsolved for a long time. I always had a great time for non-educational guide, too. I wish we had more time to learn from them. The other department had similar faculties.

My experience of college .

Placements: Around 90% of the students get placed and TCS is the mass recruiter. Mass recruiters as well as dream companies, both visit our college for recruitments. The average salaries offered are around 3 to 5 LPA and the highest package offered was around 12 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college campus is huge with very good facilities. The D.Y. Patil Stadium and girls' hostel are on the campus itself. The laboratories are well-equipped, and the canteens are very hygienic and serve healthy and tasty food as well. Classrooms are very good and have good ventilation and ACs.

Faculty: The course is very much according to the current curriculum and syllabus. Apart from regular classes, we are given hands-on training to make us industry ready. We also have weekly workshops from industry experts and highly knowledgeable teachers. The semester exams are easy.

Other: The college is perfect for academics and extracurricular activities. The faculty is very educated and helpful. The college is up to date with the curriculum and syllabus and provides many courses online and as well as offline, apart from the given syllabus which makes us industry ready.
