MICA Certificate Courses & Fees 2025

Admission to a PGP course (equivalent to MBA) is completely entrance-based. For the selection of candidates in MBA course, MICA accepts a valid CAT score. The weightage of this exam is 20% in the entire selection process. Candidates can either qualify for CAT or they can also prepare for other popular entrance exams such as XAT or GMAT. Candidates who qualify CAT will have to appear for MICAT in the next step of the MICA admission process.

MICA admissions are through a layered filtering process comprising of CAT/ XAT /GMAT performance followed by the performance in MICAT written exam and finally the GE and PI performance. The step 1 of MICA admissions is Psychometric test. This section is a qualifier. followed by the Step 2, which is for the candidates who qualify through Psychometric test, their relative performance on CAT /XAT/ GMAT is considered.

A minimum cutoff of the best of the three scores is considered of CAT /XAT total percentile or GMAT score. The next step is the MICAT exam followed by the GE and PI. However, CAT/ XAT/ GMAT percentile/ scores make up only the 20 per cent of the total weightage of the final composite score. 

Candidates need to appear for any of the national level the exams, among CAT, XAT or GMAT to participate in the MICA PGDM selection process. Admissions to MICA PGDM is based on shortlists prepared considering the MICAT scores, national level exam scores, GE and PI scores. Candidates filling the MICAT application form have to enter the scores of national level exam. However, if they are yet to appear for the exams, they can add the exam scores later. MICA provides the facility to add exam scores at later stage of the registration process.

Candidates aspiring for MICAT exam have to fill and submit the registration form before a specified deadline. MICAT registration deadline for both exam phases will vary. MICAT exam registration for first exam phase ends in the third week of November. Whereas, MICAT registration for the second exam phase concludes in the third week of January.

MICAT 2026 registration for first exam phase will conclude on November 20. While the MICAT registration for second exam phase will conclude on January 29.
