Absolutely satisfied. No doubt, it is an excellent college.

Placements: Midnapore College is an autonomous college and one of the best colleges in West Bengal. Economics is a multidirectional subject. With this course, you can pursue various career paths, such as UPSC, IAS, banking, business, IES, etc. This course can offer high-paying job opportunities. It is also a very interesting subject. For those who love mathematics and philosophy, I definitely recommend learning this subject.

Infrastructure: The college library is large. It has many types of books, along with a digital library. It also has a peaceful reading room for studying. Labs and classrooms are good. There is a big ground for sports and a gym on the college campus.

Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Their teaching style is professional. The semester exams are quite tough, but the pass percentage is high. This course helps students become industry-ready. Through this course, we can also learn about various aspects of our daily lives and the country.

Other: Seniors are very helpful and friendly. College also organizes educational tours, fests, and extracurricular activities. Everything is very good at the college. One thing that could be improved is the lift facility. Currently, it is available only to faculty members and staff. I request that students also be allowed to use it when they are unwell.

An average experience at all. Not good that satisfied all my expectations, but enough to study here.

Placements: Our college provides placements in big companies like Wipro, TCS, and Infosys, but only for BCA students. As I am in Economics department, there are no placement opportunities for us. These companies recruit students from the BCA department, offering the highest package of 12 LPA. Around 40-50% of students get selected and have the chance to internship there. The average package offered is between 3-5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college provides hostel facilities, but no Wi-Fi facility is available. The food quality is average. Four days a week, we get vegetarian meals, two days we have egg curry with rice, and one day we get chicken. Dal and other vegetables are served daily. The canteen is not very good, and some students have experienced food poisoning after drinking tea there for 2-3 days. It is not very hygienic, and hygiene should be maintained as it is an important concern. We do not have any Wi-Fi facility here. Our college has its own library with a large collection of books in various categories.

Faculty: Our department teachers are so good in nature. There are 4 teachers, including our HOD and a para teacher. Chandrima Chakraborty Ma'am, our HOD, takes our Economics classes. She treats all students well. Their way of teaching her is so good and convenient enough. The other teachers are also polite and gentle towards students. They never give us so much pressure for assignments and viva.

Good but not good. Not satisfied at all.

Placements: At first, no placement is offered by our college, and they haven't provided any placements in the past. The college is running just for its old reputation. Either no other good things are available. Very bad, very bad. Thus, the 2024-25 batch has only 10 students in the economics department. All are dumb.

Infrastructure: No free Wi-Fi available. Hostel service is also not good. My network goes whenever I enter the college. A few days ago, we had an online exam. But many students had internet issues. Some students faced difficulties submitting their papers. Very bad experience. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Faculty: Faculty is good. Our department is nice. There are two madams and one sir in our economics department. The HOD ma'am is so nice and good, but the other one is not so good. Whenever I go to her class, nothing is understandable. I get a headache after each class. And the some sir is so good. Favorite teacher.

Other: I came here to do honors in Economics. At first, I saw there are very few students, and we connected to the seniors. They also said they don't have a good experience at all!

It has very good faculty and infrastructure. It is awarded by grade A by NAAC in 2017.

Placements: Midnapore College is a general degree college. It provides a bachelor's degree in all kinds of subjects and a master's degree in a few subjects. Being a general degree college, it doesn't have a very good placement record. A few companies like Capgemini, Deloitte, TCS, and ICICI Bank hire some students through the interview. They offered a salary package of 1-2 LPA. The college is average for placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. Each department has separate labs. Wi-Fi facility is quite satisfactory. The central library consists all kinds of books for students. Classrooms are also good. The hostel provides good quality facilities to the students. The food in the canteen and mess is good. The college arranges a sports event every year. Indoor games are also available. Medical facilities are available.

Faculty: The best thing about Midnapore College is its faculty and course curriculum. The teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, knowledgeable and very much efficient in teaching. In our department (economics), Chandrima ma'am and PR sir are next to God. They always give their 100% in teaching. The course curriculum of B.Sc. (Eco-H) is relevant. It makes students industry-ready.

Other: I spent 3 golden years in this college. Economics is a very good subject. Economics is a part of most of the aspects of our daily life. Economics helps you to think strategically and make decisions to optimise the outcome. Things that I wish would be better or improved are providing more teachers, individual computer for each student, and most importantly, one more classroom. Events and fests conducted here are good and enjoyable. The campus surroundings are the most enjoyable. Scholarships are also available.
