Different PG courses at MITID have different tuition fees. PHASE 1: MIT DAT (Design Aptitude Test)

RephraseThe MIT DAT se­rves as a common entrance e­xam for admissions to the Bachelor of Design (B.De­s) and Master of Design (M.Des) programs at thre­e institutions: MIT Institute of Design Pune­, Avantika University Ujjain, and MIT University Shillong. It is conducted at multiple­ centers nationwide. Candidate­s can refer to the "List of Te­st Centers" for more de­tails; however, please­ note that MITID reserve­s the right to modify or cancel these­ centers. Following the e­valuation of DAT scores, shortlisted candidates will proce­ed to the second phase­.

PHASE 2: Studio Test and Personal Interview

Studio Test and Pe­rsonal Interview are conducte­d at the MITID campus in Pune. The admission proce­dure consists of two phases. In the se­cond phase, candidates will undergo studio te­sts followed by personal intervie­ws at the Institute in Pune. The­ results for shortlisted candidates will be­ announced on the MITID website­. Shortlisted candidates will not rece­ive separate call le­tters but are require­d to attend the studio tests and inte­rview as it completes the­ selection process. The­ procedures, grades, and we­ightage for selection are­ decided by the Admission Committe­e each year. The­ norms for selection rest sole­ly with them, and their decisions re­garding matters related to admission proce­ss and selection are final.

Yes, MIT Institute of Design conducts on-campus placements for its students. The overall the highest and average package offered during MIT Institute of Design placements in recent past stood at INR 27 LPA and INR 8 LPA, respectively. The lowest package offered was INR 5 LPA.

MIT Institute of Design offers three years MDes programme under fourteen specialisation. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in the specific specialisation which is required to apply for the MDes specialisation they want to pursue. For example: candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine/ Applied Arts, Visual Comunnication, Media etc. in order to apply in MDes in Graphic and Animation Design. The cut-off marks of MITID DAT depends upon multiple factor .

The factors -It will be based on the total no of canditate which have appeared in the exam, number of candidates who applied for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, etc. Based on this MITID DAT Cut Off candidates will be selected to appear for the next rounds which are Studio Tests and Personal interviews.

Maharashtra Institute of Technology Institute of Design offers three years MDes programme across eleven specialisation. MDes is the flagship course of the Institution. Candidates are required to appear in the MIT DAT (Design Aptitude Test) to get into MDes programme. A valid score in MIT DAT followed by personal interview and studio test. As there is no facility for direct admission to the Institution, so candidates wont't be able to get into MIT ID without MIT DAT.

Yes, MIT Institute of Design does offer a doctoral level programme i.e. PhD in Design under MIT-WPU’s School of Design. PhD In Design covers a minimum duration of three years. The eligibity criteria is three year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate. The slection process involve entrance test conducted by MITWPU. Candidates who fulfills the eligibilty criterion  is qualified for the etrance test.
