The canteen food is affordable and of good quality. The hostel facility is also available, and multiple sports facilities are provided for students.

    No placements for animation students.
Placements: No placement opportunities are available for animation students. Everyone took admission in the hopes that they'll be industry ready and get placements in good studios/companies and have a decent range of pay. But almost half of my batch is unemployed and rest are doing menial jobs for which they applied on their own. Same goes for internships. Only a very few got good internships and the rest were compelled to do their own projects as internships as the college couldn't work on improving their students' skills and getting them internships or jobs.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, average hostel and mess. Overall infrastructure of the campus with all the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, libraries, etc. are available. Hostel and mess are really average. Most of the hostel buildings are old and tardy, and mess has weird tasting food.
Faculty: Faculty is not cooperative, they only want assignments and submissions. The faculty will teach you only as much as it's there in the Curriculum and just take your assignment submissions. Curriculum doesn't make students industry ready. Exams/juries seem to be useless.

A great place for starting your design journey.
Placements: Around 80-90% students get placed every year. The average package is around 6 lakhs per annum. The lowest is around 4 lakhs per annum and the highest is around 12 lakhs per annum. Many reputed companies from various industries come for placements like Godrej, Wildcraft, Microsoft, Accenture, etc. Apart from this, many students start their own startups, in which the college helps them through their initial years. This happens through their incubation center called Design Guild.
Infrastructure: The college has AC libraries with the latest collection of books on various topics which are updated regularly. The college has 3 computer labs, wood workshop, metal workshop, paint shop, clay studio, etc. The campus is lush green and Mulamutha river runs inside the campus. The college has a swimming pool, gym, badminton court, tennis court, basketball court and a football ground.
Faculty: The faculty members are good but they lack the teaching ability. Some of them are really good. The college encourages interdisciplinary projects due to which you can interact and get guidance from any faculty irrespective of your department. The curriculum is based on the latest industry requirements, however, the focus is more on the end deliverables which results in the lack of teaching in various research methods.

    Good institution to learn design.
Placements: Design firms mainly from Mumbai used to come for recruiting. Also, most of the students preferred to apply to companies by themselves as they had a wider option. Product designers are in high demand. The system of marking is grades and a student with an A grade is considered proficient with a sound knowledge in his/her discipline.
Infrastructure: The institute consists of two buildings, one which started functioning recently. The buildings have large classrooms, with long desks and soft boards to display the students' creativity. MITID is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The institute has an ambulance for emergencies. Labs such as materials lab and wood workshop are equipped with a variety of machinery which helps students to develop their skills. The college has a canteen and a small snack counter. Apart from which, the campus includes a restaurant and a mess run by the Gurukul international school which is open to all. The campus also boasts of a music school that started recently.
Faculty: The faculty members have good knowledge regarding art and design. Most of them have taught at NID, self taughtAhmedabad. The PG course curriculum is a compressed version of the UG course curriculum. The subjects introduced, depends on the discipline chosen by the student. The subjects help hone different skills and the students are self-taught. The students are taken on village visits and trips, and internships and a final year project by the student is mandatory.

Other: Our campus is located on the banks of the Mula Mutha River in Loni Kalbhor, which is on the outskirts of Pune city. The weather is always beautiful, and so is our campus. It is vast, green, and we have a pretty luxurious life here (compared to most colleges, to say the least). Our faculty may not be the very best and some people may find it hard to get used to the unconventional way of learning here, but that is just how design and design studies work. We learn through group work, assignments on topics that, unlike many subjects/ fields, were never introduced to us in school. We have a gym, sports complex, and lush grounds where we enjoy leisure sports as well as celebrate multiple festivals all-round the year. We have a small canteen, computer labs on 3 floors, a stationery store, metal and wood workshops, and many such facilities. The institute is just getting better by the day as it expands into newer creative fields like fashion and architecture, and we are given many opportunities to show our work to not only other students and faculty, but the rest of the world and the real industry, as the institute promotes participation in competitions and exhibits.
