MIT Institute of Design offers three years MDes programme under fourteen specialisation. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in the specific specialisation which is required to apply for the MDes specialisation they want to pursue. For example: candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine/ Applied Arts, Visual Comunnication, Media etc. in order to apply in MDes in Graphic and Animation Design. MDes is the Postdergrauate level flagship programme offered by the MIT Institute of Design. MDes is offered in various specialisation. MDes admission process includes university level entrance exam i.e. MIT DAT (Design Aptitute test). First step is to complete the eligble criteria (Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design) next filling the application form of MIT DAT and scoring a minimum required score in the test. And finally appearing for the Studio test and the personal interview, which finalises the selection process of the course.

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the courses offered at MIT Institute of Design (MITID). Candidates interested in taking admission at MITID must take the institute’s entrance exam, i.e. Design Aptitude Test (DAT) on the basis of which candidates will be selected for the Studio test and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. On successful qualifying in both these rounds, candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at MITID for document verification and tuition fee payment for final seat allotment.

Yes, MIT Institute of Design (MITID) offers UG, PG, and PG Diploma courses in the field of design. At the UG level, the institute offers a three-year full-time Bachelor of Design (BDes) which is the flagship course of MITID. The BDes programme is offered across twelve specialisations. Also, the institute offers a Masters of Design (MDes) programme. MDes programme being a PG level programme is offered across fourteen specialisations.

Candidates seeking admission to the courses offered at MIT Institute of Design must take the Design Aptitude Test conducted by the institute based on which candidates will be shortlisted for the Studio test and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The qualification of these aforementioned rounds will decide the final seat allotment.

MIT Institute in Design does not provide direct admisison to their flagship courses. The candidates are required to appear for the MIT DAT (Design Aptitude Test), an entrance test conducted by the MIT Institute of Design (Pune), MIT University of Design Alandi Pune, Avantika University (Ujjain), and MIT University Meghalaya for admission Design Programmes. Once the candidates qualifies the test they are called for the studio test and personal interview.
