Good institution to learn design.

Placements: Design firms mainly from Mumbai used to come for recruiting. Also, most of the students preferred to apply to companies by themselves as they had a wider option. Product designers are in high demand. The system of marking is grades and a student with an A grade is considered proficient with a sound knowledge in his/her discipline.

Infrastructure: The institute consists of two buildings, one which started functioning recently. The buildings have large classrooms, with long desks and soft boards to display the students' creativity. MITID is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The institute has an ambulance for emergencies. Labs such as materials lab and wood workshop are equipped with a variety of machinery which helps students to develop their skills. The college has a canteen and a small snack counter. Apart from which, the campus includes a restaurant and a mess run by the Gurukul international school which is open to all. The campus also boasts of a music school that started recently.

Faculty: The faculty members have good knowledge regarding art and design. Most of them have taught at NID, self taughtAhmedabad. The PG course curriculum is a compressed version of the UG course curriculum. The subjects introduced, depends on the discipline chosen by the student. The subjects help hone different skills and the students are self-taught. The students are taken on village visits and trips, and internships and a final year project by the student is mandatory.

Really good option if you are interested to do something new which has good career.

Placements: Placements given by our college is good enough. There are interviews taken before allotment. 12-15lakhs per annum is the maximum starting salary offered. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Nissan, etc. Visited the campus. Some students really get good opportunities for their future.

Infrastructure: Everything is good and well maintained. We have proper facilities, labs, Wi-Fi all over campus, we also have trained faculty members who guides us on the proper. Food in mess is good as compared to other mess in our city. Hostel rooms are well furnished and cleanliness is maintained everywhere.

Faculty: We have helpful and qualified faculty members for respective courses. The teaching quality is awesome. We even have external visiting facilities for some particular courses. We have course structure for each course which results into good fruitful deliveries. The ratio of the students to faculty is 4:1.

Other: We have Persona fest every year with different events on different days. We have open electives for which faculty around world comes us to teach us.

Design Aptitude Test
Eligible candidates need to appear for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by the MIT Institute of Design. NRI, PIO, OCI and International students are exempted from MIT Institute of Design-Design Aptitude Test (MITID-DAT).
Studio Test and Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for studio test and personal interview based on the score obtained in Design Aptitude Test (DAT). NRI, PIO, OCI and International students will be called portfolio review and interview based on previous academic track record, English Proficiency Test (if applicable), Statement of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation. The portfolio review and interview will be conducted through video conferencing.
Final Selection
Candidates are selected based on Design Aptitude Test (DAT) score, studio test score and performance in personal interview.
