M.Sc in Life Sciences - Batch of 2024

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, it is the best college for the M.Sc. in Life Sciences course.
Placements: Placements in our course were average. Almost 60 percent of pupils obtained jobs in international corporations. The average wage was 16 LPA. The maximum package offered was 21 LPA. The course also included vocational training. The top recruitment firms included Reliance Life Sciences, Bharat Biotech, and IQVIA. The most popular job titles were biochemist, biomedical scientist, and others.
Infrastructure: The college provided Wi-Fi in the hostels, but we had to fill out a form and ensure availability to get access. Classrooms were fully air-conditioned, but the hostels were not. Every hostel had a special menu. The mess food was fine. There were also three restaurants on campus.
Faculty: Teachers were highly competent and helpful. Every faculty member helped students in every circumstance. The exams for the semester were not particularly pleasant. Students who dedicated a lot of time to their studies were likely to perform well on the exams. 50 percent of students were successful. Appropriate instruction prepared students for the workforce.

Absolutely worth the money and satisfactory as it has good placement, especially for my course.
Placements: There are various opportunities in my college, and most of the students get placed in my college, and they do provide various roles like HR, financial accountant and many more. Companies such as KPMG, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Wipro, Accenture, and Cognizant come for recruitment in my college. The average package they provide is 5-6 LPA, and the highest they provide is 20-21 LPA.
Infrastructure: In my college, students get Wi-Fi and have a well-organised library where we can easily get books. Our college also has its own on-campus and off-campus hostel facilities. And they provide both non-veg and vegetarian food in the hostel, and the hostel costs approximately Rs. 1,80,000 per year.
Faculty: They do many extracurricular activities and have different intercollege fests where students get to explore more and more. We even have sports day and other events. We have a different student council to manage different teams for fests. In class, the teacher does different activities to make us understand things practically.
Other: My college has a fest with other colleges in Bangalore, like Christ, st Joseph's, and also they provide CEE courses, which are helpful for us.

Amount Carmel College – Denotes the major "CCC" (Competent, Confident and Compassionate)
Placements: Around 50 percent of the students from my course were placed in good schools, including St. Angels, with the highest package in a teaching career being about 3.5 LPA. Other students are getting placed in top companies such as Cisco and Nasdaq. .
Infrastructure: Amount Carmel is rated as the 3rd top college in India and the 2nd best college in Bangalore. All facilities are available in the college. It provides the best Wi-Fi connection, all classrooms have smart boards, and the library is vast with all kinds of books. Hostel accommodation is available for all students, with good food service along with canteen food. Every year, the college hosts a khel sports meet and provides good medical and counseling services.
Faculty: The college has the best faculty with more than 150 teachers, most of whom are Ph.D. holders. The curriculum and syllabus are relevant, and semester exams are pretty easy if well prepared. The passing percentage is around 33 percent. The faculty and staff are very supportive. Thank you.
Other: I chose this course because it is integrated and beneficial for me, as I saved an extra year. This course provided good exposure, and I had my best 45-day internship at MEC Public School. One of the best fests is conducted by the Carmelites.

Excellent campus and faculty support, but placement opportunities need improvement.
Placements: Students who have above 80% are placed in my course. The starting salary package offered in my course is 4 LPA to 8 LPA. Roles offered include cybersecurity personnel, etc. Students who have 75% will get internships, but students should not have any backlog.
Infrastructure: Facilities are available, like student Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. I don't prefer to say anything about the hostel as I don't have any idea about it, but other than that, canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games are available, which are helpful for students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is really good as they give more examples related to real life. The semesters are a bit difficult, but not hard to qualify. This course is curriculum-relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Other: I chose the course as it has high chances of getting placement in reputed companies or organizations. There are lots of events and fests, and the campus is always crowded.

3Placements2Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Absolutely satisfied because of crowd and infrastructure.
Placements: 70 per cent of students were placed approximately. Most of them did not sit for placements. The lowest package was 2 Lacs per annum. The highest package was 48 Lacs per annum. College does not help with internships. Top roles in my course were analyst roles in financial firms or statistical roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of hostel is not good. No food, problems in the washrooms. Like, no hot water and no gym. There is a curfew of 7:30. Canteen food is good and reasonable. There are not many sports facilities. The Wi-Fi of the hostel does not work at times.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Few of them are bad. Rest are okay. My course exams are hard, and we have to study a lot. Course curriculum is not industry-relevant, but it prepares you for a Masters. Pass percentage is around 34 per cent. Teachers are knowledgeable and qualified.

Absolutely satisfied with placement opportunities and training facilities provided.
Placements: Half of students are placed in top companies like EY, Deloitte, and many more. 60% got placed for the internship in companies like Growth School, Wise, Onlyv, and many more. Many roles are offered, like operations executive, business executive, sales opportunity, and customer support.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. They provide us with Wi-Fi, a library, well-maintained classrooms and environment, an auditorium facility, a canteen, labs, etc. They provide us with quality food on the campus, water facilities are also available on every floor, and clean washrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They provide us with notes on important topics, give us a presentation to work on. The pass mark is 32 out of 100. It makes us industry-ready. Provides us with Certificate courses as well to gain hands-on experience, which will help us in the future.
