On Highlights
Q:   Which courses can I do after a D.Ed.? Should I do a BSc or B.Ed?
A:

The best choice depends on your career aspirations:

·       If you want to become a teacher: Opt for a B.Ed. It's the mandatory qualification for teaching in most schools.

·       If you want to pursue a career in research or a science-related field: A BSc would be more suitable. It provides a strong foundation for further studies and specialised careers.

·       If you're unsure: Consider your interests and skills. Do you enjoy teaching and interacting with students? Or are you more drawn to scientific exploration and research?

Additional options:

·       M.Ed.: If you already have a B.Ed., you can pursue a Master of Education for career advancement or specialisation in a particular teaching area.

·       Diploma courses: Various specialised Diploma courses in education or related fields can enhance your skills and knowledge.

Q:   What are some of the top recruiters hiring Electrical Engineers?
A:

Many top international companies having presence in India hire electrical engineers and offer them handsome salary packages. Some of the top recruiters are given here:

  • Tata Electric Companies
  • Sterling
  • Schneider Electric

  • Siemens

Q:   Does BTech Civil Engineering syllabus focus more on theory or practical application?
A:

The BTech Civil Engineering syllabus focuses on both theoretical lectures as well as practical work.

With the help of lectures in the curriculum, theoretical concepts are introduced to students, tutorials provide space for solving problems and applications also.

And the labs offer hands-on experience to students who get acquainted with equipment and CAD software. Also, the field projects also allow students to apply their B Tech Civil Engg. skills and knowledge to design and implement communication systems.

Q:   Is there any job scope after doing BJMC course?
A:

A career in media industry requires commitment, dedication and sacrifice of personal time for the sake of staying on front or top, particularly in news industry. A journalist may have to work day in and day out to get breaking news. Similarly, media professionals who are in entertainment or film making need to work with passion which may come at the cost of their personal life. However, in a nutshell, Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication degree is enough for a person to fetch a job of any interest in the media field.

Few of the areas s/he can choose from, include:

  1. TV channels
  2. Circulation and Public Relations
  3. Central Information Service
  4. Legal Affairs Department
  5. Journals
  6. AIR - All India Radio
  7. News Agencies
  8. Press Information Bureau
  9. Advertising agencies
  10. Broadcasting companies.

Hopefully, the above information will help you make an informed decision.

Placements are very poor in 2026. I think they should conduct more campus drives for companies.
Placements: 0.1% of students in our college got placed. The highest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the lowest salary offered was 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Motherson and Gurukul. I think none of the students get any internship from our college. Top roles are full-stack developer or software developer.
Infrastructure: There are Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms. But they should use the labs for practical knowledge more often. For the library, I think they should give students some place to study, not always insisting on getting into classrooms. Hostel food is very bad. It's better if you can rent a room rather than take a hostel in this college.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. But the course does not make you industry-ready. You have to learn by yourself. Semester exams are not so tough if you have studied well. The pass percentage is 60%. Overall, they need to improve and work on a lot of things.
Other: I chose this course to get into the tech field, and the best thing is that if you are well-skilled in tech, you can earn more, sometimes mostly from remote jobs. They should add practical knowledge for improvement. There are very few fests and events in our college.

The college review of Naraina Group of Institutions, Kanpur.
Placements: 50% of students are placed in my college. The highest package is 4 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Alembic is hiring for marketing roles. 50% of students get an internship at other companies. The campus provides a good environment to discuss students' roles and future prospects.
Infrastructure: In the Naraina campus, the infrastructure is so good, with classrooms for any group of courses, and all departments. The library is working at a good capacity for students. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Hostels are in very good condition, they provide an attached bathroom, and hostel food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to students. They are well-qualified and experienced from other sectors. Courses are relevant for students in the biological field, and they can achieve a good position after completing their courses. Semester exams are good and understandable. 50% is the passing mark in the semester.
Other: I am interested in this course because I am from a Biology background, and I love to pursue my passion. In my opinion, all are very good, nothing to change in our course. The college conducts events with the help of students, like the Pharmacy Mahotsav held in the month of November.

From my side, this college is the best for becoming OT technician, etc.
Placements: This college provides the best placements for students; they also provide internships for students. And proper training to students; they always try to help students in every situation, and the best part of this college is there is no ragging. Good college for engineering and good placements.
Placements: In my college, the placement rate is about 60–70%. The highest package offered was 5 lakhs per year, and the lowest was 2 lakhs and the average package offered was 2.5 to 3 lakhs annually. The top recruiting companies are RSPL Ltd., Oppo, and Riding Engineering pvt. Ltd. Around 60% of students got internships in mechanical engineering diplomas. The top roles offered were assistant engineer and quality head.
Infrastructure: The college campus of Naraina groups was very good, neat, and clean. Free Wi-Fi is available on college campuses and hostels. Our campus enforces a strict dress code. A smart classroom facility is also available. The library has a collection of all books related to the course, and every student got a library card to access books. Our hostel quality was very good. Strict security protocol is there for all hostel students. Mess is provided for all hostelers. Pick-up and drop-off facility from hostel to college are free of charge for hostel student. A canteen is available for all students. Medical facility is available for students in our Naraina Medical College and Hospital. Regular social activities and sports are also available.
Faculty: Our college professors were well educated, and their teaching method was very good. Special doubt classes were arranged for students to solve any doubts. The course curriculum was very relevant. Our placement cell arranges special classes to make the students industry-ready and also prepare them for interviews. Semester exams were difficult, and you had to attend all lectures and prepare well to pass the semester exams. Our pass percentage is about 85 to 90%.
Other: In mechanical engineering, my batch was very good. Some students are from PCM backgrounds, and some are from PCB.

Best placements ever in BCA course.
Placements: College has described everything about placements. As they said according to the seniors the placement percentage is 98% and the top recruiting companies are TCS, INFOSYS, and Cognizant as well as non-technical jobs. Some students do not register for placements to do higher studies.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good compared to other colleges. The course fee is affordable for all types of students. The campus is not crowded. Wi-Fi is not good. The computers and labs are very good. Labs have AC and some classrooms also have AC. Mess and Food court have hygienic foods.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful. They help us with all the facilities like assignments, PPT, mock interviews, and flip classes. Teaching quality is excellent but some are not good. Some teachers are very friendly. Exams are very hard to clear because the external teachers check our answers sheet.

Naraina College of Engineering and Technology, here's the real deal on their fees. The B.Tech is the big spender—expect to cough up about INR 2.45 Lacs for the whole thing. If you're more of a Diploma (polytechnic) kinda person, you're looking at a much lighter INR 1.01 lakhs.

Thinking postgrad? The
