B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2028
5.0
The college is the best college to join. GATE placements and more packages are offered.
Placements: Around 85% of students from my course got placed in the best placements. The highest package is 32 LPA, the average is 16 LPA, and the lowest is 9 LPA. Infosys, TCS, and HCL Technologies are recruiting companies. Around 75% of students secured internships through college placement. Software developer and data analyst are roles offered.
Infrastructure: Our computer science engineering department had a well-developed infrastructure to support academics and practical learning. The department has several labs. The labs are clean and infrastructure like projectors and systems are available. Classrooms are clean infrastructure and hygienic. The library contains good technology books.
Faculty: They are approachable and supportive towards students during projects in electrical, AI, ML, and data science. Semester exams are moderately difficult.
Other: Core subjects like data structure, algorithms, and operation systems. Curriculum updates need to be more frequent to match fast-changing technologies. The campus is easily accessible by public transport.

B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2024

Good Infrastructure but less Placements.
Placements: I graduated in 2024 from Narayana Engineering College, Nellore. In my year, placements were really less, and students also struggled a lot due to a lack of skills. If we talk about the percentage of students placed in 2024, I would say it was just 20% because we only had one company for on-campus placements that year. Regarding the average package, it was between 3.5 to 4 LPA, which is not bad for freshers. The top companies that might have visited were Infosys, Accenture, and Hexaware. We didn’t get any internships, and ASE was the role they offered.
Infrastructure: When it came to the infrastructure, it was pretty good and had good labs, Wi-Fi, and classrooms. So, we didn’t have to worry about the infrastructure, and we could also borrow books from the library whenever we wanted. As for the hostel, the college didn’t provide any hostel facilities, but we had hostels outside the college, so we could join them without any worries. Regarding the canteen, sometimes it was in good condition with good food and snacks, and other times it was empty, so it was like 50-50. Instead, we could just rest and visit the canteen sometimes during breaks.
Faculty: In my opinion, we had really good faculty who would help us when required. We had the most experienced and well-educated faculty for core subjects, so we didn’t have to worry about them. We just had to follow the course and learn accordingly. As for the course curriculum, I can say that it was not bad, and we were able to learn our core subjects in every semester as required. The semester exams were easy if we did well in all the assignments and midterms. They were not very difficult, and the pass percentage was 35 out of 100.
Other: I chose this course because it had really high demand so I thought I should also take this course. They provided labs for us to practice and I really had fun coding and learning. When I was in college we only focused on Python which is easy to learn, but I got to know that Java is also really important when it comes to coding competitions. So, it would have been better if we had not focused on just one language. Students organized events branch-wise, and faculty also organized some extracurricular activities.

Average college, one can join if he wants to study in his hometown.
Placements: Around 65% of students got placed. The highest package is around 9 LPA. The average is around 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are all mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. I got placed as a system administrator at TCS. Internships are almost non-existent. The ones that exist are name sake, with no real use.
Infrastructure: Auditoriums in the college are big and good. In auditoriums and labs, there are ACs. Labs also have desktops with decent specifications and the internet is fast as well. The food in the canteen is average. One can eat snacks but the meals are not worth it. Sports are not encouraged on the campus.
Faculty: Only a few faculty are qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects. Others teach us only due to their high experience in teaching even if they don't have any idea about the subject itself. The course curriculum is outdated. It does not teach you any real skills to acquire a job. You have to do all that yourself. Semester exams are not that difficult to pass.
Other: I chose this course (CSE) because of peer pressure and also because the software industry is booming. The future is all about computers, mobile phones, and the internet. I wish that the course had more latest skills which are actually needed in the market. Events and fests are very low in the college. There is less crowd on the campus, according to its size, so its a breeze.

Not worth studying by joining through management quota, but is fine if you get a free seat.
Placements: About 50% of students got placed from our course according to faculty members. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and other mass recruiter companies. The highest package is 12 LPA and the average package is around 3 LPA. Students are first provided training by companies to make them ready for the job and then are given placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good. Facilities include a huge library, and labs also have features like good computers, decent internet speed, and very cool air conditioning. Classrooms are average. College officials do not have any hostels but there are a few hostels and PGs nearby the campus. Mess and canteen food is average. Sports are not encouraged much.
Faculty: Some faculty members are helpful and knowledgeable. They also have high educational qualifications like Ph.D. and doctorate titles. But other faculty members don't have any idea about what they are teaching. Few faculty members have a very bad attitude towards students. Course curriculum is outdated and does not make students industry-ready. It is very easy to pass the exams in the college.
Other: I chose Computer Science Engineering, as this is a branch which has much scope shortly. I want to become a software engineer. I would have loved it if the course included skills that made students industry-ready. Events and fests are very less from 2nd year.

Good infrastructure and facilities with promising placements.
Placements: Placements at this college are decent, not too many and not too few. They provide only high placements to those people who have a higher CGPA. Although they are providing good placements compared to any other college in Nellore, they are providing 43 LPA, which is offered by Google. This was about the placements at my college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college has a 3-star rating. The infrastructure of the college is likely different from other colleges. This college totally contains 3 buildings, which contain 3 floors each. There is no hostel facility from my college, but the environment is too good at the college, with full greenery, and there is more parking space in this college.
Faculty: They provide good faculty and curriculum. The faculty is well-experienced. Many people have a "Dr." in their name. Many of them completed their Ph.D. They teach us so well. They help us to solve problems and help us in other curricular activities as well. This college is affiliated with JNTUA, which sets very tough question papers.
Other: I have joined this college recently, and this is a good, decent college.
