B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2027
5.0
Really good infrastructure and facilities, absolutely satisfied because of friendly faculty members.
Placements: The highest package offered is 12 LPA, while the average package offered between 3-4 LPA. College places almost half of the students i.e., 50% from what I have heard from senior placement cell faculty. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and other service-based companies hire from the campus. Companies like Accenture also visit. The internship situation is pretty bad, with only a few students securing internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty decent. College is spacious, considering the area, it is situated in a town. There is a greenery on campus. Labs have decent computers, air conditioning, and internet (although it is LAN only, not Wi-Fi). There is a big library in the B-block of the campus. It has many books, but most of them are old ones (before 2015). There are creeps into walls. College does not provide official hostels. Although, there are quite a few gender-segregated hostels available right outside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are hit-and-miss. Sometimes good faculty members are assigned, who are experienced in the subjects, but other times some of them don't know much about the subject and get assigned to teach, what I heard. Currently, the college has a shortage of faculty members, so they have assigned faculty to teach the subject in which they don't have experience or knowledge. A few faculty members are egoistic, but they may be one or two. The syllabus contains a few of the latest topics, like ChatGPT and AI, but the college adopts a cramming culture.
Other: In our college, both technologies and robotics are the most liked ones.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: Around 70 students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package was 3 LPA. The recruiting companies were Zensar and TCS. Many internships were provided at our college. It is the best college.
Infrastructure: The food served in our college was not good, but the food in the canteen was very good and neat. Our college provided good medical facilities, sports, and games.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful and very good. Their teaching was good enough to make all the students bright. The course curriculum was relevant and made students industry-ready. Semester exams were conducted very strictly. The pass percentage was 80% to 90%.
Other: Games should be improved at our college. There were fewer events and festivals. Scholarships were provided in our college.

It is an autonomous college now.
Placements: About 45% of students get placed in the previous placements in our college. There is a separate placement cell to clarify doubts for all students. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 15 LPA. Top companies like Accenture, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra visit the college for placements. Almost 100% of students get an internship in Tech Mahindra, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and Infosys.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are good. The infrastructure is also wonderful. There is no hostel facility in the college, but nearby PG hostels are located more at affordable prices. PGs are available with good facilities like Wi-Fi and good food.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and friendly to the students. The course curriculum is relevant, and we have done more projects by using workshops and labs. The difficulty level of exams is more by JNTU Ananthapuramu. Education is also difficult. Students with previous knowledge and pressure from the teacher passed out all the subjects.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is my passion for my career. Our college should improve my technical skill and knowledge. It should also provide strong communication skills. Every day the programs are arranged by management through different branches to participate all students in project expo and fest. There is a separate sports program every weekend.

It is the best college in Nellore.
Placements: Getting a job right before graduation ended was the most important part of one's bachelor's education. From the first year itself, they gave the training in the subjects like aptitude, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and many more that they must have if they want to secure a job in great companies. But during the 3rd year, the placements and training cells had intensified the training. I felt like this was a huge burden as I was consuming a lot of time i.e the tests which they kept also were hard, but once when I started sitting for the placements I realize how great and helpful was training as I was able to solve the questions in the written exam with little effort due to the skills which I developed from the rigorous training sessions of P&T cell. The P&T cell even conducted lots of workshops with eminent industry persons. Because of this workshop, I was able to sharpen my skills and also present the way the company needs. The mock interviews which P&T cell conducted were highly useful as I was able to understand mistakes and rectify them. P&T cell showed mistakes and also modifications from the recordings of the mock interview. Due to the holistic training, they gave me I was able to get a job in the TCS in my first attempt itself.
Infrastructure: If there was any college with the best infrastructure in Nellore then it is NECN only. During 4 years, the infrastructure was also got modified to meet the demands. Some of the best infrastructures in this college were conference halls and seminar halls, and they look like multiplex theatres. The good thing was that each department has its own seminar halls with a seating capacity of 300 students. The college provides not only good academic infrastructure but also sports and recreational activities. Many of my friends had won medals in inter-university tournaments. Our college provides national-level gold also, medalist in martial arts. These great achievements in sports were all possible due to great infrastructure and support from the faculty members. Every classroom was equipped with a projector making way for the interactive communication teaching methods. The laboratories were also equipped with the latest machines. The college also set up laboratories in the areas of a new frontier of technologies like robotics, 3-D printing. The college provides the best library. If students want to get peace of mind and lost themselves in the books then it was the best place in the whole college. The catalogue was good, it contains all kinds of genres. Students do not need to buy any book for their bachelor's study, and it contains all the required books that were the latest editions.
Faculty: Faculty members of the mechanical department were phenomenal. They made teach in the most interactive way possible so that students can understand concepts very easily. Due to their easy way of teaching, students were able to understand lots of difficult topics easily, and even qualified GATE in the final year without any coaching. For the qualifying GATE exam, I just prepared from the notes that made from the teachings of the faculty, and solved previous year papers. I was able to qualify for GATE. The HOD and faculty members were always encouraged to participate in technical events, and also to do projects. Due to their encouragement, students were able to let go to of stage fears and even won many prizes. Great thing was that even they give students transport allowance to participate in the programs. If students want to give credit to all achievements then it goes to HOD and faculty of the ME department of NECN. The HOD and faculty always encouraged students to do internships. They even gave internships opportunities to many of my friends in great companies due to the contacts they have. The department, also conducted many workshops with renowned persons from the industry and gave students hands-on experience of skills that industries deem very much needed like CNC, CAD, MATLAB, and many more.
Other: This college gave me many memorable and great memories, but most importantly it gave me a platform to excel in my career. NECN had played a great role. I tried to summarize the experience, but I feel short of words for the impact which NECN had on this development. NECN gives a great platform in every way i.e education, sports, and many more. Students can use it to get better and great people.

It is a good college and has good faculty members.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students from all branches are placed in different companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, etc. Around 30% of the students got internships from Everest Engineering Company. A special campus drive is held at the end of the 2nd semester of the final year.
Infrastructure: All the facilities and infrastructure are very good. We have a digital library. Wi-Fi is available for 24 hours. Classrooms have a teach next smart board in which we can learn through PowerPoint presentations. Sportspersons are given the utmost priority. There are huge playgrounds available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They are well-educated, qualified, and knowledgeable persons. The curriculum is implemented such that every student will be ready for industry. Exams questions are moderate and the pass percentage is high ( approximately 95%).
Other: Fests and events are rare in our college.

I am not fully satisfied because we need more good quality teaching staff members.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students were placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Companies like TCS Wipro and CTS are the top recruiters of our college. Students are offered with roles like a programmer, quality inspector and employee. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 3 LPA, the average salary package offered is 2.4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Almost 50% of the students got an internship from our course in companies like Nelcast Industries, APGENCO, Steel Plants and TVS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is good, and the facilities available for our course is better as compared with other engineering colleges near our college. Labs have good infrastructure, and they are available as per the requirements. There is no hostel facility at our college. We have a good canteen with affordable prices, and quality maintenance is not bad. Medical facilities available are good. We don't have a ground for cricket, football, hockey and baseball. For indoor games, we have good kits and infrastructure.
Faculty: We have some quality teaching staff members as compared to other departments. We also have good young lecturers, but they are learning some basics from experienced staff members. There are not sufficient staff for project works and fests. The course curriculum is outdated as compared with the outside industrial environment. The course curriculum is good to learn old techniques, but they should try to develop it as per modern technologies.
Other: I am interested in joining in mechanical engineering, and the course which I am learning has the most used applications in our daily life. The college should update the course according to modern technology. Every year, our college management conducts 2-day fest in which all students are interested in participating. We have good communication skills with other students and faculty members. Every year we are getting a scholarship from the government.

The college is very nice, and I gained good knowledge.
Placements: There are no placements in our college, but education is the best here. I scored 75 % in academics. The environment in our college is also good. Placements are bad, but CSE and ECE students get placements opportunity easily. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. They provide information about placements and internships, but they don't offer stipends.
Infrastructure: The hostel is also not bad, but the hostel facilities are good. There are many canteens available in our college. The hostel rooms are not bad, but hostel ventilation and neatness are good and the food served is good. Wi-Fi facility is also available on the campus. Labs are good and are very neatly maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members are very close and friendly. They clarify our doubts. They will help you. Even the course is very good. Teachers are well-knowledge and qualified. They provide industry exposure and will also provide all facilities.
Other: The college organises many fests and events. They also provide scholarship facility. Extracurricular activities are also available, and it is good.

Not satisfied with the teaching and placements.
Placements: Placements for mechanical engineering are the worst, and the education provided is also the worst. The faculty members are too bad at teaching the subject. They only have the basic knowledge, and also they ask us queries.
Infrastructure: Benches in our classrooms are like in a school. Recently, projectors are installed in classrooms, but it is only to show off as there are no CPU or laptops. Good paintings were done on the walls, but the walls were slightly broken. Computers are available for the mechanical engineering branch which work 24*7. Very few textbooks are present in the library, related to mechanical engineering. Prices of food provided in the canteen are high. There are no hostels provided by the college. Few sports equipment is provided.
Faculty: Faculty members in the mechanical engineering branch are not knowledgeable. They know only the basics of subjects, but they act as if they know everything in front of the students. They will not explain the lab experiments clearly, but they ask us difficult questions in viva and calculations in external exams. Everything they do is a mere exaggeration and the things are only done for taking photographs which are to be printed on banners. One programme is shown as two to the management.
