National Institute of Design Andhra Pradesh is a public design college. The institute is also part of Institutions of National Importance by virtue of the Act of Parliament and an autonomous body under the DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GoI. It is also internationally acclaimed premier design institutes, under the National Institute of Design Act, 2014.
The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID AP) was established in September 2015, NID AP currently offers BDes programme with three specialisations. To select students for admission to its BDes, NID administers a two-stage entrance test called the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT).
NID AP has international collaborations with many national and international institutes/ universities for better exposure for the students such as Design School HSLU (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Switzerland), KHM (The Academy of Media Arts Cologne, Germany), Bath Spa University (UK), etc

The admission handbook will contain key details pertaining to eligibility criteria, application process, fee, eligibility criteria, reservation, seat matrix, and much more.
So, it is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the NID DAT 2025 admission handbook before filling out the application form.
Note that NID 2025 application edit window will be open once application closes. However, the candidate will be allowed to edit only a handful of information.
It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide correct and verifiable information during the application process. If the candidate is found to be using incorrect or couterfeir information, his or her candidature could be cancelled at any stage of the admission process. Further, if the candidate tries to influence, either directly or indirectly, to influence the management or employees, then also the candidate could be disqualfiied.
Note that the NID DAT 2024 counseling will have a document verification process. During this stage, all the information and documents furnished by the candidate will be cross-checked.
While filling out the NID application form, candidates have to enter their personal, academic, and personal information. They are also required to upload a photograph and signature, and caste Certificate if applicable. In case of candidates seeking admission under reserved categories, they also need to upload a category Certificate. PwD category candidates will also have to upload the relevant Certificate.
The category and PwD certificates should be in PDF format and max 2 MB.
Meanwhile, the photograph and signature should in JPG/JPEG format and within 75-100 KB.

The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh currently offering offers three four-year BDes courses to the students. It has three specialisations.
