Candidates must have passed 4 years of Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines like Food Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering/ Agricultural and Food Engineering/ Food Technology and Management/ Food Processing and Preservation Technology/ Dairy Technology/ Food Science and Technology/ Food Process Technology/ Post Harvest Technology/ Home Science/ Food Science and Nutrition/ Food Science and Quality Control/ Fish Process Engineering.

Candidates must also have scored the mentioned aggregate marks or a minimum OGPA of 3 out of 4 or 7 out of 10.

For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the qualifying degree is sufficient.
