NIT Uttarakhand offers BTech, MTech, and PhD programmes in the fields of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, among others. 

The BTech CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) programme, offered by the institute is very popular among the students due to its promising career prospects and excellent placement record. The BTech CSE programme offered by NIT Uttarakhand is a four-year programme, offered through the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The department's faculty members are mostly PhD holders from the reputed institutes of the country. INR 34 LPA was the highest package offered to a student during the 2022 placements, and the top recruiters included Adobe India, Algo Sec, Samsung SRI Noida, and Atlassian, among others.

Admission to NIT Uttarakhand is based on the entrance exams, followed by an interview or counselling.
