NIT Uttarakhand M.Sc. Courses & Fees 2026

NIT Uttarakhand offers a four-year BTech, and a two-year MTech programme at the UG and PG levels, respectively. The programmes are offered in five specialisations: Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronic & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. For admission to its BTech programme, NIT Uttarakhand accepts JEE Main scores, whereas for admission to its MTech programme, the institute accepts GATE scores. NIT Uttarakhand accepts GATE/ NET/ SET scores, for admission to its PhD programme. The candidates must fill out the application form available on the institute's official website to apply for these programmes. 

To get a seat in the National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses, candidates must visit the official website of respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies to register themselves. Eligible candidates are then required to appear for the entrance test, followed by another selection process. Apart from these, to get a seat in NIT Uttarakhand students are also required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of the course.

NIT Uttarakhand offers BTech, MTech, and PhD programmes in the fields of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, among others. 

The BTech CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) programme, offered by the institute is very popular among the students due to its promising career prospects and excellent placement record. The BTech CSE programme offered by NIT Uttarakhand is a four-year programme, offered through the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The department's faculty members are mostly PhD holders from the reputed institutes of the country. INR 34 LPA was the highest package offered to a student during the 2022 placements, and the top recruiters included Adobe India, Algo Sec, Samsung SRI Noida, and Atlassian, among others.

To get into NIT Uttarakhand, candidate must have attain the rank as per the cutoff list released. As per the round 4 of the cutoff list,   the cutoff ranks among the General AI category candidates varied between 16830 and 48190. Therefore, to get admission to NIT Uttarakhand, candidate must have a rank of atleast 48190.
