    The hidden gem - NBMC&H.
Placements: This college provides internship in the associated hospital. The hospital load is too much. Stipends to interns are provided on time. Last year, the government of West Bengal increased the stipend by 10,000 for interns, and there is 5% increment in stipend per year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities in the academics are well built, but they lag behind in the hostel. Library is fully air conditioned and has a permanent Wi-Fi facility. The hostel is also very pockets friendly. It consists of 12 rupees per month. The campus is too huge.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is friendly, qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are ready to help anyone at any time. The exams are held every 3 months to keep track of students performance. If anyone has studied well, then he/she can easily crack the exam.

Absolutely I am satisfied with the faculty members, college infrastructure, etc.
Placements: Campus placements were not conventionally conducted. Mandatory one-year internship was conducted at NBMCH with a stipend. Top recruiting companies/hospitals were government hospitals, private hospitals, NGOs, etc. Top roles offered were medical officer, junior residents, president doctors, etc.
Infrastructure: Campus was spread around 161 acres, one of the largest medical campuses in India. Wi-Fi and internet were available all over campus. It provided fully equipped labs for anatomy, physiology, microbiology, etc. There was a central library with huge amount of books, journals, digital resources, etc. Quality of food was good and served with hygiene.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified with their degree. They were experienced in most departments, especially medicine, surgery, and pediatrics. Exams were held by WBUHS pattern like theory, viva, and practical after each phase. There were 3 phases in this course, each phase was for 1 year.

There is good patient inflow, & a lot to learn. Hostels are average with good infrastructure.
Placements: There are 200 students in each batch. They complete their course in 4.5 years and 1 year of internship, so in total, it's 5.5 years. After completing the course, they are doctors. Out of 200 students, only 10-15 students clear NEET PG, and the remaining students do the house staffship.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, but the hostels are below average. There is no cleanliness on the entire campus. The hostel washrooms, corridors, and everything are dirty. In the 1st year, they accommodate 5 students in 1 room. It is very congested.
Faculty: The professors do their work properly, but the course is a bit difficult, so the exams are tough to pass. Most of the time, we study on our own because the lectures are only for 1 hour, and we learn only 1 topic there. But in self-study, we'll learn 3-4 topics in 1 hour.
Other: The MBBS course is awesome. So, if you are doing MBBS from any government college, you will get to enjoy.

Good clinical exposure and poor hostel facilities.
Placements: Most students went for PG, so placements were not very large, but around 80% received job offers. The average package was 6–7 LPA, with the highest being 12 LPA. Internships were 100% in government hospitals, with roles like JR and MO. Some joined private hospitals like Apollo and Fortis. The college was good for clinicals.
Infrastructure: Facilities were okay. Labs and library were decent, but the classrooms needed an upgrade. The hostel was average, and the food was manageable but not very good. The Wi-Fi was slow. There was a sports ground, but it was not well maintained. Medical facilities were available 24x7. Overall, it was quite good..
Faculty: Teachers were qualified and helpful, but some did not teach well. The curriculum was good and make us ready for PG or government jobs. The exams were tough and required regular study. The pass percentage was around 80–85%. Some subjects were tricky, but overall manageable if you stayed consistent.
Other: I chose MBBS out of passion. The clinical exposure was the best here. The hostel and Wi-Fi needed improvement. The crowd was mixed. The fests were okay. There was a good patient load. The campus was far from the city, and connectivity was poor. Some students received scholarships.

Absolutely satisfied with facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: A good percentage of students were placed in the MBBS course because the college was well-known for its MBBS degree. Some companies like Apollo Hospitality and Pharmacy came to offer internships. It's not a large percentage of students got internships, but most of students got jobs in government or private hospitals and were earning well.
Infrastructure: The department facilities were also good. Wi-Fi, classrooms, and libraries were well-maintained. Wi-Fi provided a peaceful environment, and there were computers available for study-related work. If we had an important file, we could save it on the computer. The food in the canteen also tasted good, and we loved it.
Faculty: Teachers were also very good, and I respected those who helped me study. Their teaching quality was fantastic, and they explained concepts using familiar examples in the local language. The course curriculum was relevant to the industry. About 50 to 60% of students could easily pass.
Other: The campus was also very good and large. If we had free time, we could have fun in the playground. But, regular events were not organized, which was a downside.

My honest review of my college.
Placements: Medical colleges do not offer placements and most students after passing out prepare for post-graduate entrance examinations and some of them take up jobs also. Getting a job after MBBS is very easy and most of the doctors after MBBS earn Rs. 70,000 to 1 lakh per month in the private hospital and around Rs. 70,000 per month while working in the government sector. The college provides internships for MBBS students in its own hospital. The stipend is quite handsome compared to other colleges. An intern here gets a stipend of Rs. 19,000-20,000 per month currently. The workloads and experience are quite ample.
Infrastructure: During the first year, we used to get a triple-seater room, and then in the second year, we got two-seater rooms. In the final year and internship, we get single rooms. Rooms are quite spacious with 24-hour power backup and constant water supply.
Faculty: Faculty members here are at par in the field of teaching and guidance. Many faculty members are interested in teaching and complete syllabus on time. Many faculty members also use nice PowerPoint presentations. The exam structure was a bit chilled out. There are semester-wise exams and a few departments also conduct regular assessments by class tests. The exam is divided into theory and practical parts. First, the theory exams used to take place and then we have practical exams. Practical exams are a bit cool as the faculty members are quite supportive and helpful. The course curriculum is nice in the college as the whole MBBS course is structured and planned as per the MCI guidelines. The college is able to follow it in a very disciplined manner. Completing the course in due time and the regular assessment and the examinations is a routine here.
