PGDM in Energy Management - Batch of 2026
4.8

The placements are decent and focus solely on energy managerial roles.
Placements: 100% placements are there and 40 students get placed. The median salary is 12 LPA. Recruiting companies are NTPC, Adani Power, Suzlon Energy, and many more. 100% of students got internships in top energy companies like CERC, IEX, APPCPL, NTPC, and Lohum Batteries. Roles offered are business development, energy analyst, and energy manager.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, classrooms, industry expert sessions, and teachers are well-qualified. Good support from teachers is there for placements. Hostels are good enough with single accommodation for each student. It is fully air-conditioned and Wi-Fi is also enabled. You can be dissatisfied with the food served during dinner.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful. All are Ph.D. holders and have service experience in their respective fields. The teaching quality is average. The course offered is aligned with the curriculum. It provides a lot of practical knowledge as well as contacts. Semester exams are moderately difficult having passing percentage marks of 33%.

It stands out from other energy management colleges.
Placements: The highest package offered in 2020 was 21 LPA, and the average package was 14 LPA (approximately). The current placements are going on, and the leading companies of energy and non-energy domains have come here to recruit students from the campus. More recruiters are coming every year.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the hostel, classrooms and library are top-notch. Food is very good. Medical facilities are readily available, and corporate insurance is provided for medical emergencies. The institute also has its own games room, swimming pool and all sorts of facilities.
Faculty: For general management courses, top IIM-Ahmedabad faculty members take up classes that constitute around 70% of the faculty. For energy-related courses, NSB has its own highly dignified faculty and also visiting faculty members from leading industries.

It is the best college for energy management.
Placements: The average package has consistently been around 11 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Deloitte, E&Y, Trident, KPMG, GE Power, NTPC etc. Being a new college, it has its own challenges. Things took a hit due to the pandemic. Despite everything, the college has been successful in placing all of its students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is provided and supported by NTPC, with great lecture halls and hostel facilities. NSB also offers a huge library and access to top-notch books and literature. The quality of food in the mess and medical facilities are pretty good.
Faculty: The teaching staff comprises a mix of IIM A professors, industry experts, and NSB faculty. The teaching pedagogy is as followed in IIM A, and rest assured, the faculty members are brilliant. The subjects like oil and gas, electricity generation, transmission and distribution, etc., are taught by industry experts, while finance is predominantly taught by IIM A faculty.
Other: I chose this college primarily because it's a specialised course and is better than NTPC. It can provide end-to-end knowledge in the field of energy.

Review of NTPC School of Business.
Placements: We have rolling placements for the batch of 2021. The highest package was offered to 15 out of 23 students, and it is 13.9 LPA, and the average package for all the batches is between 10-12 LPA. Diverse companies come here and offer diverse roles to the students in internships and placements.
Infrastructure: The campus has newly constructed hostels. Housing and food are good. It has a world-class infrastructure compared with B-Schools. Classrooms are well-equipped for both online and offline classes.
Faculty: A majority of the core management courses are taught by renowned IIM-A professors. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed with a good blend of energy and management courses. All the professors are qualified, knowledgeable and helpful, and overall, the teaching quality is good.
Other: The best college for the energy sector enthusiasts with the right combination of core energy and management subjects.

I am satisfied with the faculty members and course.
Placements: The placement season is still going on. Currently, most of the students got placed in top companies like GE, Deloitte, Energy Exemplar, etc. The highest salary package offered is 14 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good with wonderful surroundings. Expenses of the rooms are taken up by the hostel staff members. Food is prepared by ICH, and there is free high-speed Wi-Fi. Badminton, lawn tennis, volleyball, pool table and table tennis court are available.
Faculty: Teaching staff members include IIM-A professors, NTPC professionals, NSB professors and other distinguished adjunct faculty members. The course curriculum is majorly focused on the energy sector along with management education.
Other: It is a small campus, and it holds fests and other events with a huge crowd which becomes difficult. We used to book a cricket field outside for matches.
