B.A. in English - Batch of 2026
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good placements in 2024, with great faculty members and diverse campus.
Placements: The B.A. English course offers and introduces students to editorial, graphic design, teaching lines, and others. Top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, Jio, Telecom Companies, Sutherland, TCS, and so on. The highest package is 7 LPA. The lowest salary is 1.5 LPA, and the average salary is 2 LPA to 3 LPA. 78% of estimated students got jobs with high payment.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are well-managed and excellent. The classes are modernized, neat, and provided with digital learning. Library is well-maintained. Wi-Fi is provided only for educational purposes, and students are not allowed to misuse it. There is no hostel available at Patrician College. Medical facilities are somehow not well maintained, other than that sports and games are highly entertaining. Students at Patrician College participated at the state and national levels in sports and even won prizes.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and experienced. Each faculty differs in its way of teaching. Some use creative ways and some use the projector and other digital learning. The B.A. English course helps the students to have a broad view of the world, learning the history of English literature to introduction to linguistics. The subject varies and it's useful in their own way. Semester exams are not that difficult, it depends on person to person. The pass percentage is around 70-80%.
Other: I chose B.A. English course because I find it interesting. B.A. course at Patrician College is an excellent one but it can be improved by conducting more seminars and presentation classes. Festivals like Pongal, Onam, and Christmas are celebrated. Events and seminars are conducted helping the students to improve. Inter-college fest and activities are also held for building confidence and creating a bond with others. Scholarships are provided for ST, SC, and OBC with a sum range of Rs 15,000 - Rs 20,000. Activities and clubs, SEED YRC, Red Ribbon Club, NSS, road safety clubs, and others are available.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2025

A memory of the heavenly world.
Placements: Most companies that come for recruitment from the college side are BPOs, and there are fewer companies that hire HR executives. From the college side, students go for internships for experience and personal growth, but the college provides OD to students for that. The main thing is that the recruitment packages are usually around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: From the college side, Facilities are much better, and the food is quite nice. We have a canteen and cafeteria with food options, including a variety of snacks, junk food, and brownies. We also offer vegetarian meals and all types of South Indian meals. Additionally, we have a sick room for students who feel unwell or fatigued during class.
Faculty: The exam is not the toughest one here. It is almost easy because faculty members provide the question papers before the exam, allowing students to score good marks. The pass percentage is usually above 35%. Moreover, faculty members are very friendly towards students, which helps us score good marks with the race of them 1.
Other: We have lots of cultural webinars, conferences, and other kinds of events in the college. We also have inter-departmental events. As I am from the BBA department, we have a corporate walk, which is the most interesting event, and I love it the most.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024

College faculty members are okay. Placements and culture are below average.
Placements: As a recent undergraduate graduate, I was expecting more challenging and rewarding career opportunities. However, the job offers I received are limited to BPO roles, such as medical billing and data entry positions. I appreciate the effort to provide employment opportunities, but I am concerned that these roles do not align with my skills, interests, and career aspirations. Furthermore, the packages offered are relatively low, ranging from Rs. 8,000-10,000 per month. I have invested significant time, effort, and resources in my education, and I believe I deserve a more suitable job.
Infrastructure: One of the significant drawbacks of our institution is the lack of hostel facilities for students. This limitation not only creates logistical challenges for students who come from distant locations but also deprives them of the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in campus life. The department's lack of encouragement and support for extracurricular activities. Students are often forced to choose between focusing on their academic pursuits and exploring their interests in sports, cultural events, or other activities. This narrow focus on academics can lead to a lack of holistic development.
Faculty: Faculty members at our institution are satisfactory, but there is definitely room for improvement. They are able to provide a decent understanding of the subject matter. I felt that they lacked the expertise and qualifications to provide a more nuanced and in-depth education. Many faculty members rely on outdated teaching methods and materials, which makes it difficult for students to engage with the subject matter. Furthermore, some faculty members lack industry experience, which makes it hard for them to provide practical insights and examples. Overall, I believe that the institution would be beneficial.

A good college in Chennai.
Placements: The college has an active placement cell that facilitates opportunities for students in various companies. Notable recruiters like Tata, Infosys, Wipro, Kotak, and Axis Bank. The placement process typically begins in the final year of study with eligibility often contingent upon maintaining a good attendance of 80% and good academic standing. The highest package offered is 7 LPA. The average package is 1 LPA. Approximately 35% of students secured placements through campus recruitment drives.
Infrastructure: The college boasts a well-maintained campus with eco-friendly surroundings. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors to enhance the learning experience. Laboratories across various departments are maintained, providing students with practical exposure in their respective fields.
Faculty: Faculty members at Patrician College are highly qualified and experienced in their respective fields. They are known for their supportive and understanding approach, providing excellent quality of service to the students. The curriculum is designed to be comprehensive, aiming to unlock students' neutral potential and prepare them for future challenges.
Other: The college encourages sports and extracurricular activities, offering facilities like football, cricket, volleyball, and indoor games, Regular inter-college tournaments and annual sports meets are organised to promote physical health fitness and team spirit.

Excellent faculty, great infrastructure and amazing campus life. 9/10 would be recommended.
Placements: In my course, students who pass out from their high school and who scored above 60 percent will be placed into my course. The highest package is 60,000, and the lowest is 25,000. The top recruiting companies for my course are Tata and Zoho. The top roles in my course are accountant and sales executive.
Infrastructure: There are no hostels available in our college. Students from different cities used to stay in nearby private hostels and their relatives houses. The infrastructure is so good, and there are Wi-Fi facilities available, and there are libraries with different books available according to their courses.
Faculty: Teachers are so kind and always helpful, and they're friendly whenever we need them; we can easily approach them. The average pass percentage in this college is that we need to take at least 40 marks to pass. Students can only wear formal dress in the college and no shirts.
Other: While comparing colleges in Chennai, this college is low in fees, but also the method of teaching is very impressive and good. They conduct events every month and function like freshers day, Onam celebration, Christmas celebration, cultural events, and sports day. There are some scholarship schemes for students who scored above 75 percentage marks, also students from ST, SC.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the management.
Placements: Only 30% of students got placed in my course. The highest package they get is 10 LPA, average package they get is 7 LPA, and the lowest they get is 4.5 LPA. Sutherland is one of the top companies for my course. Roles offered in my course are data analysis, vice process, non-vice process, and developer.
Infrastructure: My college is located in Kotturpuram which is located near Adyar lake. My college is small compared to other colleges. There are five blocks (A, B, C, D, E). My departure is in Block I A block. There is a computer lab which has average lab without internet, they will give internet only if we get permission. We can tour the college within 30 minutes.
Faculty: The only bright spot in my course is faculty members. They are good and knowledgeable. There are good quality professors, and they guide us. The course curriculum doesn't make students but they conduct additional certificate courses for free like web development, AI workshop, etc.
