For admissions to various courses is done by HSTES through counseling as per the Reservation Policy notified by the State Government of Haryana. Moreover, various courses offered by the institute have specific eligibility criteria. Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET) provides hostel facilities for students. There are a total of two boys and a girls' hostel to accommodate up to 250 and 100 students respectively. The hostel facilities include:

Yes, students enrolled in the PIET programmes do stand a chance to avail 100 percent scholarships. To do so, students must register and appear for the PIET QUEST Scholarship test conducted by the institute. Based on the scores obtained, students are awarded with different amounts of scholarships. The student who scores the highest marks is awarded a 100 percent tuition fee waiver.
