Review of Pillai College of Engineering.
Placements: Pillai College of Engineering has an active and steadily improving placement cell. The college conducts regular training sessions on aptitude, coding, and soft skills. Top recruiters include TCS, Capgemini, LTI, Accenture, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra. Several mid-scale tech companies and startups also visit during the placement season. Most placements are IT-oriented, even for non-IT branches like mechanical or EXTC. The average package ranges from 3.5-5 LPA. High performers secure packages of 6-10 LPA with roles from better companies. A few exceptional students get 12 LPA+ from product-based companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at Pillai College of Engineering is modern and student-friendly. Classrooms are spacious, and well-ventilated. They are equipped with digital projectors. There are labs for all branches, especially IT, CSE, and ENTC. These are updated with good systems. ENTC labs have proper equipment for electronics, embedded, and communication subjects. Wi-Fi connectivity is available across the campus with decent speed. The library is large, with good seating and a wide collection of technical books. There is access to e-resources and a peaceful study environment. The campus has clean corridors, lifts, and well-maintained washrooms. Common areas, seminar halls, and auditoriums are modern and frequently used for events.
Faculty: Faculty members at Pillai College of Engineering are experienced and approachable. Most professors explain concepts well, especially in core subjects. Some teachers are strict about attendance. It helps maintain discipline. Doubt-solving sessions are regularly conducted for difficult topics. Faculty encourages students to take part in workshops and technical events. The course curriculum follows Mumbai University guidelines and includes extracurricular activities. The syllabus is updated with industry-relevant subjects like coding, communication, and labs. For ENTC and IT-related branches, practical exposure is given priority. Assignments and lab journals are part of continuous evaluation. Mini-projects and presentations help students understand real-world applications. Exams are conducted strictly and on time with proper supervision.
Other: Pillai College of Engineering has a very active and vibrant campus life. Multiple events run throughout the year. It keeps students engaged. Alegria is one of the biggest cultural fests in Navi Mumbai. This is a major highlight. Technical fests like TechClash and Project Exhibitions showcase student innovation. Departments conduct workshops, coding contests, and hackathons regularly. Sports festivals include football leagues, cricket tournaments, and indoor games. The campus atmosphere becomes energetic during the fest season. Students from all branches collaborate to organize committees. Celebrity performances and concerts attract a large crowd. Inter-college competitions give exposure beyond academics. There are many clubs, like coding, robotics, dance, music, and drama.

Good infrastructure and supportive faculty.
Placements: 70 percent of students got placed. The highest package is around 8 LPA, the lowest is around 2.5 LPA, and the average is around 4 LPA-5 LPA. Top recruiting includes TCS, Citrus Tech, and a few core electronics companies. Around 60-70 percent of students received internships in TCS, Reliance, etc.
Infrastructure: Our department is well-equipped with modern facilities. The college provides high-speed Wi-Fi. The library is large and has a wide collection of textbooks, reference books, and e-resources related to the field. In our college, events are really nice and many actors are coming to Alegria.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their field. Students do not understand the subject they teach us again later. The semester exams are moderately difficult, they test both conceptual understanding and practical knowledge.
Other: I chose this field because I'm interested in EXTC field.

Love for college: Campus to corporate.
Placements: I guess 70% of students get placed in TCS, Capgemini, Reliance, etc. The roles are software developers, front-end developers, and testers. The highest package this year is about 14 LPA, and the average is near about 5 LPA. College does support every student to get an internship in their last year, and there is a good TPO that works for the students.
Infrastructure: Our college is well maintained, the classrooms hold a good space, proper benching is there with a projector in every class, and labs are modern-day updated. The hostel is good in terms of cleanliness, it is about 3 km from the college. It is located in a good location, has good security, and all-time clean.
Faculty: Teachers are too good and supportive to be honest, that is why I applied to this college. Exams are a bit complex, making students ready to face any challenge. The academic year is well structured; we have three exams in one semister, which include internal assessments 1 and 2 with final exams.
Other: I was fond of tech and computer science, this keeps us updated in day-to-day tech. I would like to go deep into knowing AI, ML, and cybersecurity.

Satisfied because of faculty members, events, and placements are also decent.
Placements: In my course last year, the highest package offered by Flipkart was 32 LPA. The college helps students in getting internships if they are eligible. The college is good in terms of placement and resources for the internship and placement. Tata, Infosys, Jio, Capgemini, HCL, and many more companies are the recruiters.
Infrastructure: In engineering, there is no AC, but the campus is full of Wi-Fi. The library is good. The hostel facilities provided are also good. The canteen is the best part of the college. They are very good in terms of events and programs. The college life is best here. It is worth taking admission here.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and very supportive. Our college is autonomous which means the curriculum is designed industries oriented. College semester exams are easy to pass and high scoring if you regularly give two hours daily. Almost all students clear the sem exam.
Other: I chose this course because it gives exposure to both software and hardware engineering as well as because of my interest in the semiconductors industry. Alegria is the top fest in the Navi Mumbai region organized by our college.

It is a college with good faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: As a first-year student, I don't have much idea about this, but the highest placement is 32 LPA in 2024, and the average placement range is between 7 LPA. The college ranks as one of TCS's top priority colleges for placement. There are various companies also come for placement.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. It provides various kinds of lab facilities. The college provides hostels, and there are facilities for sports and games. There are continuous events held to upgrade students, such as Maths quizzes, Treasure hunts, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the course curriculum is relevant. The college continuously promotes students to join internships during the semester break, and the last few months of the curriculum include compulsory internships, which help students gain practical knowledge.

There is a good balance between academics and co-curricular activities.
Placements: Around 90% of eligible candidates were placed in the 2024-25 academic session. The highest package is 32 LPA, and the average package is around 6-7 LPA. TCS, and Infosys, among many others, are the top recruiters. Around 85% of eligible candidates received internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in all the labs, and the speed is quite good. The classrooms are spacious with enough ventilation. The libraries have a rich collection of academic books that students can borrow with ease, and the overdue are pocket-friendly. The libraries are pleasant to sit in due to the academic atmosphere of being in the presence of so many books.
Faculty: The faculty here is extremely knowledgeable, with many of them being Ph.D. holders. The professors give their all to teach students and are open to discussion outside of lectures too. The exams are not that difficult, given that, you study every day. They cover every aspect of the syllabus and include concept-intensive questions.
Other: I chose this course due to having an interest in Information Technology. The best thing about my course is probably the practical aspect of it. Pillai College of Engineering has the biggest fest (Alegria) in Navi Mumbai, with many other events being held regularly. The crowd here is very diverse. College has good connectivity, with other places be it by local train, bus, rickshaw, or other means of roadways.
