Four out of the eight PGI BSc courses comprises of a compulsory internship period in which the students are required to do an internship. PGIMER Chandigarh has announced an open round cutoff across various All India quotas. The cutoff rank for the Round 3 ranges from 184 to 35611 for the General AI category candidates. Among all courses, the most desired course was MS in Orthopaedics. PGIMER Chandigarh core courses are MS in General Surgery (209), MS in Ophthalmology (235), MD in Psychiatry (618), MD in Anaesthesiology (636), and MD in Community Medicine (1562). PGIMER admission process is based on entrance score. To apply for admission, applicants must complete Class 12 with relevant aggregate scores for admission to UG courses. Applicants must also hold a valid score in the INICET examination for MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM. INICET is conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. Admission to MS/MD courses is conducted twice a year and the new session starts in January and July every year. For few courses, PGIMER accepts the admission based on PGIMER entrance test followed by counselling. the application process is completely online. 

All the applicants who wish to apply to any of the courses offered by PGI Chandigarh can register online and pay the fapplication ee. Following is the procedure for doing the same:

1. Visit the official website of PGIMER and click on the online application form available on the PGIMER’s website
2. Fill in all the details correctly
3. Take a printout of the form and make the fee payment through the Challan form (Triplicate) in any branch of SBI by the name “Power Jyoti” PUL current account of PGIMER
