Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh admissions 2025 are open. A few more updates are as follows:
- The INI CET July 2026 registration portal is now inactive for admission to the MD/ MS/ MDS/ DM/ MCh courses. The INI CET 2026 exam for the July session is scheduled for May 16, 2026.
- The NEET MDS 2026 exam has been conducted for admission to the MDS course. The result for the same will be announced by Jun 2, 2026.
PGIMER Courses and Fees 2026
The PGIMER offers multiple UG and PG courses. Students can take admission as per their eligibility and requirement. The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh offers programs such as B.Sc., BMLT and M.Sc., etc. Moreover, most of the courses are offered in multiple specialisation. The admissions can be done through official website or entrance exams. Mentioned below are the details of courses offered:

Commonly asked questions On Fees and Eligibility
As per resources and information availaible, the initial entrance exam which is accepted by PGIMER Chandigarh for admission is INI CET. There may be a chance that NEET-PG is also conisdered for admission but INI CET is the considered for admission to majority of the courses. Other than this, PGIMER also conducts its own entrance exam for admission to various courses. So basically you have to score a good marks in NEET PG. I repeat NEET PG it isn't NEET (UG) . If you score a good marks in the NEET PG then you can apply here very easily and also you will be able to sit for the PGIMER official ENTRANCE test.
PGIMER Chandigarh accepts its own entrance exam for admisssion to M.Sc courses. However, admission to other PG courses such as MD/ MS/ M.Ch/ DM at PGIMER Chandigarh is done on the basis of score in INI CET followed by counseling. PGIMER Chandigarh conducts its own entrance exam for admission to other UG, PG, and Doctoral courses. The total seat intake for M.Sc at PGIMER Chandigarh is 25 seats.
For Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research admission, candidates need to qualify INICET entrance exam. Eligible candidates are then called for the counseling round. PGIMER's application process is completely online.
The entrance examination is held in December for the January session and in the June for July session. MD/MS Courses Candidates are assessed at a formal entrance-test on the basis of a suitably designed Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type theory paper.

Well, to get a decent government medical college, your NEET marks should be above 600 if you are a General candidate.
You can get colleges even if your mark is around 580 or so, but you can't expect your college campus and facilities to be top notch.
And one thing PGIMER is for doing your Masters degree not undergraduate degree .
You got to focus on all the three subjects, especially Physics. Physics is what really makes the difference coz almost every bio student is good at bio, so certainly that won't keep you offbeat with your other competitors. As chemistry is concerned, it's comparatively easy. So make sure you got to secure around 140 in physics, Around 160 in chemistry and 340 in Biology for a decent rank.
Solve as many question banks and previous years questions as possible.
PGIMER Chandigarh B.Sc Nursing PGIMER Chandigarh B.Sc Medical technology. This is one of the best course offered in PGI Chandigarh, PGI audiology and speech and rehabilitation B.Sc Medical technology in radiography and M.Sc medical and M.Sc Biochemistry.
Applicants need to have accomplished a B.Sc. Nursing or Post-Basic programme from an institution approved by PGIMER, Chandigarh, and the Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of 55% in order to be considered for the M.Sc. Nursing program at PGIMER Chandigarh. Other than this, the admission to M.Sc at PGIMER, Chandigarh is on the basis of the score obtained in PGIMER Entrance exam. The minimum marks for each year varies as per the seat aloocation and no of applicants,thus, it is advisable to visit the official website to have a detailed insight on the minimum marks required for M.Sc at PGIMER in 2023.
Hostel is very nice and very cheap. All facilities are provided and the staffs and warden are very cooperative. Good food, light facility and geyser are available. Security is very strong here. Hostel is also very nearer to college and provides even fridge service. Sector 15 is full of pgs also 11 has some. There is hostel in sector 11 for women.
