Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2022

It is one of the best colleges in Tamilnadu.
Placements: I do not know the percentage of students who got placed, but many of our students are getting recruited by various companies. One of my seniors got placed in Cognizant. My classmates got selected in Goldman Sachs, which is one of the greatest MNCs. Our college is also training the students to get placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. Our college provides facilities like spacious classrooms, a double story library and labs, and they are maintained perfectly. The canteen serves high-quality food for students. The food served in the hostel is of good taste and quality. Our college provides games like tennis courts, basketball courts, hockey courts, TT, etc.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified. They have experience in their field. Teachers complete the portions on time. They schedule the work perfectly. Their teaching quality is at its level best. Semesters exams are average. The pass percentage is 40%. Internal marks are considered for externals.
Other: I have chosen this course because I needed a wide knowledge of the commerce stream.

The faculty are like school teachers .
Placements: I'm currently in my 2nd year so my batch hasn't been placed yet. However the top recruiting companies include Amazon, Flipkart and Goldman Sachs. All the students in my course got an internship in various companies. Mine is with Best Pumps Ltd. 100% of the students got internships because internships are mandatory.
Infrastructure: The students are not allowed to access the college Wi-Fi and net connectivity is bad in the classrooms. The college has a pretty good library as well as a digital library. The classrooms are good, and furnished with a screen and projector. The food in the canteen is really good. However there are often complaints about the hostel food including complaints of insects in the food. The college has a clinic and I haven't been to it, so I can't comment. It has a number of sports teams. However the college is very restrictive when it comes to normal students playing in the ground during or after class hours.
Faculty: The teachers aren't very good. Many simply dictate from the textbook and we note it down like school students. Though a screen and projector are provided, they're only used when the students conduct seminars. The curriculum isn't very modern but at the same time it isn't the worst either. It does a bit in getting us industry ready.
Other: I chose B.Com. Because it seemed the natural way to go after studying arts in high school. The college doesn't have a very vibrant culture and I really wish this could improve.

It is an excellent college with 100% placements.
Placements: If you don't have arrears, then you will get 100% placements with an average salary of Rs. 20,000 per month. Top recruiting companies for our course are Deloitte, Ernst & Youngest and TCS. Top roles offered in our course are accountant and account Manager. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4.25 LPA. Nearly 89% of the students got placed in the previous year.
Infrastructure: Our college has an excellent infrastructure, along with a separate library block. There are labs for every section and separate lab for all departments. Commerce block has all the social clubs related to the commerce stream. PSG groups have their own hospital, and we can get immediate medical facilities there. You can get vast opportunities in extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable, and the only thing it depends on you how to utilise them. You should have friendly attention with college staff members. You should do some additional courses to get ready for the industry, which is also compulsory to get your degree. The teaching will be very pleasant here.
Other: Our college should conduct many inter-college meets. Our course is very beautiful as we can learn everything about the commerce.

Tiring and enjoyable divine.
Placements: Even an average student can also get an opportunity to place themselves in a good company. However, the salary is very low when compared to other institutions. Because practical approach of class is not provided to the students. I am not able to solve the problems in real life.
Infrastructure: Basic facilities are given by them but the expectations of the students cannot be MET. Teachers are not trained in that way. It is major defect of every college in Tamil Nadu. Syllabus is not that advanced. Major difficulty faced by every student thx to everyone.
Faculty: Yes, but practical approach is not there. We are not able to place the corporate world bravely and confidently since there is no exposure to any programme. However, I am so sorry to quote in this paragraph but the reality faced by every student of India.
Other: Suggested by my school teacher.

I am disappointed with placements and teaching.
Placements: Around 1,800 students get placed every year. Only 25-30 companies visit our campus for placements. Among those, only 5 companies were core companies like Goldman Sachs, E&Y, etc. Packages offered to the students were very less. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. Around 20-30 students got an internship in Goldman Sachs.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi facility at slow speed. Labs, classrooms are kind of decent. The library is good. The hostel is least maintained. Food served in the hostel is average. I felt like it doesn't have any proper medical facilities on the campus. Sports and games facilities are good.
Faculty: Only a few faculty members were knowledgeable and were able to explain the subjects properly. Some are not qualified enough to teach us. The course curriculum covered basic areas in the field of commerce and accounting. It would be better if it goes a little in-depth in the areas that matter.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to pursue science. In the arena of arts, I was left with B.Com because I wanted to study finance. The college should provide more practical based teaching and basic software training, which would be helpful. Very less emphasis is given to extracurricular activities. The college provides a few scholarships. Events organised here are good, and connectivity is also good.

The best college that satisfies a student in a whole.
Placements: Placements are really good. Companies offering good salary packages visit the campus. The college helps the students to get placed and train themselves for their future. The college chooses the companies which train the students personally in terms of leadership qualities, organisational behaviour, communication skills etc. The college aims at companies which provide maximum benefits to students, and also the companies give their best.
Infrastructure: The campus is huge with separate buildings for different departments. The campus environment is good. Students are made comfortable with the infrastructure and facilities. The campus has huge playgrounds and also a big auditorium to conduct meetings, festivals, competitions etc.
Faculty: Faculty members are kind, friendly and have good subject knowledge. Students are always allowed to raise questions or meet the faculty members in person. Creative methods of teaching are used by some faculty members, which makes the class interesting. The course curriculum helps students to gain subject knowledge, and the curriculum is of good standards.
Other: The college is good at competing in cultural and sports activities, and also, it aims to be the first overall.

I am satisfied with the college and its facilities.
Placements: Companies like Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young and TCS came for placements. Nearly 50 students were placed in each company. The highest being 3.3 LPA and the lowest being 1.25 LPA. They offered roles like associate, analyst, software testing, accountant, etc.
Infrastructure: The computer labs in our college were good. There was no Wi-Fi facility though. The food in the college canteen was nice too. With regard to hostel, the food and the infrastructure was average. I didn't face any issue with infrastructure in the college.
Faculty: The professors in my college were really helpful. They have always guided us regarding our careers. They often conducted guest lectures to impart knowledge. They were really interactive. College also provides internship programmes to give industry exposure to the students. The curriculum was useful too.
