B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2022

It is a very good college with placements and improves your skills.
Placements: Almost 100% placements are available. Students from our department and other departments are selected in many companies for placements. The average salary packages are offered to graduates with roles such as engineer, trainee, etc. Students work in Chennai commercial vehicle parts production and brake chamber assembly.
Infrastructure: In all the sections of our department and other departments, free Wi-Fi facility is available. Classrooms are natural around the college and we also have CAD, thermal, and Kinematics. Lab facilities are available, and the library is very peaceful and available for all departments with local and foreign author books. Gents and ladies hostels are available and food served is excellent. Canteen snacks are also good. First-aid facility is provided.
Faculty: All the professors are supportive and they solve our subject problems. They are friendly, and knowledgeable persons. They teach in Tamil and English so it is easy to understand with simple tricks. They conduct many extracurricular activities to develop our technical skills. Exams are conducted semester wise. We have 3 internal exams and a university exam. The pass percentage is 100% as all students pass.
Other: I opted for this course because it has huge job vacancies, and it is a royal department. Mechanical course improves our technical skills and provide good knowledge. Seminars and symposiums are conducted after every 2 months. Many other college programs and festival functions are also organised.

Level of education is not good in the college. There are many problems in this college.
Placements: In recent years college placement has improved. In the last year the packaged offer gone high as 4Lpa. The college does not face the problem of placements due to less number of students present in college. Getting placement from this college is pretty easier. On an average the package offered from the students was 2 LPA to 3Lpa.
Infrastructure: The college has good LAN connection in every room of hostel which gives downloading speed upto 3mpbs. As an institute it has computer labs, physics and electronics lab. The college has a well maintained the library and is open all day is long. Food in the hostels is not very good but not that bad.
Faculty: Teachers, like in most colleges, are not regular. As an independent college, there is no specific course for each subject and the students face many problems. The teacher quite helpful, and the students to faculty ratio is good. But there are many clubs and extra facilities that help students.
Other: The college celebrate many fests an onam, pongal. The campus is very big for students and it is crowded. There are many activities for cultural, sports and technical that help students.

I am dissatisfied with the management and the faculty's teaching methods.
Placements: There is no placement facility to our batch and also for the senior batch. You have to find out the job by your self only. There are no other skill programs in this college. The career training is also worst. It is very worst in placement training and the teaching also
Infrastructure: They have only one big building. There is no Wi-Fi facility. There is no playground also. The mess is average, and the food is some unhygienic. There are some restrictions on extracurricular activities. The classrooms are also spoiled if there is rain as the rain comes into the classroom.
Faculty: The faculty does not have enough knowledge in the subject. They don't even know how to teach. But some faculty are friendly, and some are arrogant. The management gives only the task to raise the pass percentage, but they did not think about to enrich the knowledge of students.
