It is the best college. Best placement activity and programme.

Placements: There is a top placement. 90% of students are placed. Metallurgical, Electrical, and Mechanical have full placement. The highest and the lowest packages are 2.5 lakh to 5 lakh. Recruiting companies are Jindal Stainless Steel, JSW (Vijaynagar, Dolpi), Balaji, and Super Smelter. 100% of students got internships.

Infrastructure: Impact testing machines, Brinell hardness machines, and hardness test machines are available. The girls' hostel is clean, with good quality food, and the canteen offers good food as well. There are ground facilities for playing football, cricket, volleyball, and badminton. Medical facilities are accessible day and night.

Faculty: Teachers in the Metallurgical department are very helpful and friendly. One teacher has an M.Tech degree and is very knowledgeable. All teachers provide the best teaching quality. Semester exams are not difficult, but studying should continue. Pass marks are 25, and a pass CGPA is 4.

Purulia Polytechnic is an emotion.

Placements: Almost 70–80% of students are getting placed. The highest salary is around Rs.30,000, and the lowest is Rs.12,000 to Rs.15,000. Companies like JSL, JSW, Shyam Steel, and Super Smelter visit for recruitment. 100% of students get internships in Tata Steel or other companies. Most students start as Junior Engineers. Placement is very good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, and almost every lab equipment and machine is available. The biggest support comes from our pass-out seniors, who help a lot. Hostel food is moderate, medical facilities are good, and sports are also available. The best part of this college is our respected faculty and our favorite principal in charge.

Faculty: All teachers are good. They help us during classes and also share their industrial experience. The teaching quality is excellent. Exams are very difficult, and the passing percentage is 40%. In college theory, we get some knowledge about the industry through teachers’ experience and by doing labs.

Other: At Purulia Polytechnic, the Metallurgy Engineering placement is very good. Limited colleges are available, so the competition is relatively low. Events like social fests, Vishwakarma puja, Saraswati Puja, Freshers' Welcome, Teachers' Day, and many more.

Purulia Polytechnic is a lovely college.

Placements: From our course, some students got placed in JSL, JSW and Tata Metaliks, while I am working in Rashmi Metaliks, Kharagpur. About 90% of the students got internships in above-mentioned companies. Top recruiting companies here are TATA, JSL, JSW, L&T and Rashmi. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 45,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good here, but the Wi-Fi facility is not available for students and is available only for professors. The hostel facility is very good here. There are 3 separate hostels for 1st, 2nd and 3rd-year students. All cooking staff members here are very good. We play all kinds of sports like volleyball, cricket and football.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful. They can explain your doubts as many times you ask. This course curriculum is relevant, and it doesn't make you ready for the industry. Industry experience is different from bookish knowledge. In internal exams, they give full marks if you try to answer questions.

Other: This is an industrial course, and I always want to experience the industry, so I chose it. The best thing about this course is if you want a job you will surely get it through this course.

It is a good institute with good placements in all courses and good infrastructure.

Placements: About 13-17% of the students got placed in our college through campusing. The highest salary package offered is about 2.4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is Rs. 90,000 per year. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Tata Metaliks, Jindal Steel Ltd, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, Sai Group and Jai Balaji Steel. About 80% of the students got an internship at Tata and Jindal. Top roles offered are a junior engineer and assistant engineer.

Infrastructure: Our college has many things like classrooms, smart rooms with projectors, library, canteen, physics and chemistry labs, workshops like pattern shop, machine shop, welding shop, etc. Wi-Fi is available, but connectivity is poor. Hostels are available, and the quality of food is much better than roadside hotels. There is a playground for outdoor games, and also carrom and chess are available for indoor games.

Faculty: Many teachers are well-qualified and also have industrial work experience. Teachers are very helpful and friendly with students. There is a separate session of 5 days for making students industry-ready and providing them about all related to the industry.

Other: I have chosen this course because metallurgy students are getting more placements on campus from other departments. Regular classes can improve my knowledge about our course.

Review of Purulia Polytechnic College.

Placements: Our college provides good placements all over India in top companies. In the previous year, around 87%, of the students got placed from college. I am a student of metallurgical engineering, and I am very passionate to get placed from such a great college.

Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, but I know about the facilities provided by the hostel. The entire hostel is Wi-Fi enabled, and they provide water 24hrs. Our course is to scratch the material and to study about iron, steel, etc.

Faculty: Our course is free of cost because it is a government college, but we have to spend some money on semester books. It is the best polytechnic college all over west Bengal, and I am proud to be a student of it. In 2017 our college was declared as the best college for placements in metrology.

Other: All the teachers are helpful, and I even issued books from the library and manage my notes. Our college is spread in 2.5 acres In Purulia. It has different buildings for different streams.
