Faculty is good but placements in some courses are low. College has good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement is low in the college. Core companies don't visit often for placements. Branches like mechanical engineering have least placement while computer science has the highest. Students can attend internships and later join companies.
Infrastructure: College has a good infrastructure and includes labs, workshops, library, etc. Campus Wi-Fi is provided for student usage. Classrooms have digital board for teaching. College have limited hostel capacity so first year students are less likely to get into college hostel so they have to stay in private hostels. The hostel food is good. College provides sports facilities including different sports courts and gymnasium.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in bringing up a good engineering career. Teachers often give short lectures, and students have to refer to studying it in depth. The new scheme of KTU i.e., 2024 scheme is relevant to the current industries but students have to keep up with industry developments through clubs like IEEE, ISTE, etc.
Other: Mechanical engineering department is versatile enough to deviate into many fields. College curriculum can provide more exposure, which could be helpful. The college life is so active and often has fests like RITU, KELI, etc. College have active NSS units. Government scholarships and some private scholarships could be availed for this course. Campus is green and the vibe.

College has good infrastructure and average placements.
Placements: Placements at the college level are average especially in departments like mechanical engineering. The college has strong clubs like ISTE, IEEE etc. You could develop the necessary skills and gain experience. The campus placements are limited to a few companies.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure including labs and a library. Department libraries are also there. College hostels are good and have a nice food menu. College includes a gym and has courts for different games and sports. The college workshops can be used for doing projects.
Faculty: Here are good resource persons. The college classes offer minimal teaching and rest of the study has to be done by oneself. The 2024 scheme has a better standard but one needs to improve themselves with industry changes. One semester consists of two series exams along with lab exams and at the end a semester exam will be conducted.
Other: The campus is always lively and provides better opportunities to have exposure to the real world. The clubs are active and provide additional experience. The college conducts fests like RITU, KELI etc. This makes the campus life memorable. The college has a strong alumni connection. Updating oneself with the new industry standards is mandatory to get a job after college as colleges have average placements.

Review of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kerala.
Placements: This college does not offer placement with better companies. The companies that come here are just above average. But majority gets placed somewhere. The average package ranges from 4 LPA to 8 LPA. We should train ourselves through internship programs outside the campus. We could get jobs in IT companies, laptop industry, Google, Microsoft, electronics companies, robotics companies, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is above average. The building and all are old. We have Wi-Fi facility throughout the college including government hostels. The labs offer is used by the whole department, and we should form a group in lab session (1 system for 3-4 people). The hostel is very underrated for the price. Hostel is very friendly (money and freedom).
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. But some teachers don't put effort to cover the syllabus. Sometimes they won't even come to class but it is not applicable to whole teachers some are really gems. The 2024 curriculum is better than 2019 curriculum. The semester exams are held by KTU University. The papers are so good but they won't address mark to the most of students.

A good government college for you.
Placements: RIT Kottayam has a placement record, especially in branches like CSE and ECE. Around 80-85% of students are getting placed from CSE, and 60-75% from ECE/EEE. Students get placed, while ME & CE have a percentage of 30-50% placement. The highest package offered was 18 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 3 LPA, with an average of 5 LPA. It got placements from international companies like Wipro, Oracle, HCL, TATA Elxsi, etc.
Infrastructure: RIT Kottayam has good labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostels are decent with basic facilities, the mess food is average, and medical help is available. It has average sports facilities and a court that supports football, cricket, and basketball.
Faculty: Faculty members of RIT Kottayam are very supportive and well-qualified. The KTU-based curriculum is relevant. It has an updated syllabus that helps to build industry skills. Exams are moderately tough but manageable. Our college has a pass percentage of around 85% for most courses.

Very much satisfied with the campus life and very good faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kerala has a very good placement cell. They take care of all the placements by giving nearly 75% of students getting campus placements. Some leading companies that give opportunities are TCS, IBM, Infosys, etc. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the lowest is 11 LPA.
Infrastructure: All classrooms of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kerala have been digitalized they contain smart boards in every classroom. All the department buildings are of very good infrastructural quality. The campus hostel is very good as the food provided on the campus hostel is very good. But during summer the college has water shortage issues which lead to online classes for almost 2 weeks every year. The college also provides facilities for all kinds of sports.
Faculty: All faculty members of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kerala are very friendly and are very good at lecturing. All are qualified with high-level educational qualifications. The course curriculum is scheduled only after taking into consideration all the aspects. Semester exams are somewhat of medium level. The pass percentage of the semester exams is 98%.
Other: I chose this course because my dream was to become a software engineer. Our college has regular events like various kinds of arts and sports events. Each department conducts different kinds of sports and arts events. The college union also conducts frequent events.

Know more about government RIT KOTTAYAM, one of the best engineering colleges in Kerala.
Placements: Placements at RIT Kottayam are excellent and there are so many companies eagerly waiting to select students based on their performance. In the mechanical department, many students are looking for higher studies so they don't participate in campus placement interviews, the others who look for placements got placed here. It is about 20-25%. But if you want to get placed in a reputed company, you surely will get a chance, the rest will be based on your performance. The highest average package is 10 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. There are so many alumni from here in ISRO.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here in the mechanical department is very good. There is Wi-Fi, vast engineering workshop, drawing hall, Amenities room, Digital classroom, Library, Air-conditioned Seminar hall, water purifier, badminton court, Canteen, cafeteria etc. Quality food at cheap rate is available in the canteen, also the hostel food is not bad. There is a big ground here for football and cricket, also gym is available, table tennis, carrom, chess etc. Can be played. There is basketball and volleyball court also available .
Faculty: The main attraction of this college is its experienced teaching faculty members. All are highly experienced and qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult as they teach every portion. The pass percentage for the college is 77% this year.
Other: I chose this course because it is my passion. All students in our batch and in the passing out batch are vibrant and powerful. They are truly dedicated. There are many tech and art events conducted like Bicycle Design Challenge and Done Development Challenge by SAE. There are technical societies like ISTE, IEDC, and SAE here.
