M.Sc. in Food and Nutrition - Batch of 2026
4.6

A better place to study and enjoy your college life here.
Placements: 20 students were placed in various companies. The highest salary package is 5 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average is 3 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Nestlé, Zifo, Britannia, and those in the food industry and hospitals were recruiters. 80 percent of students secured internships in these companies, with roles such as dietician, food quality controller, trainee, food analyst, and manager.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good-looking and neat. Labs and the library cover a vast area, though there is no Wi-Fi network available. Classrooms are nice. The hostel is of good quality, and good quality food is available, though the quantity of food should be increased. Medical facilities are available, and sports and games are given importance.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are qualified, with Ph.D.s and good teaching methods. The course is relevant to the curriculum and helps you gain knowledge about the subject. The semester exams can be difficult, but with studying, you can manage them.
Other: I chose this course to become a food quality controller. The notes provided earlier are helpful. Events and extracurricular activities are good here.

My 5 years journey in my RVS college.
Placements: Wonderful placement opportunity. I was placed in 4 companies, dietitian role was the top offered position. Top recruiting companies were VLCC and hospitals, offering the best roles. 80% were girls in this department. Good and satisfying atmosphere, no pressure, all over good.
Infrastructure: Hostel was too good and clean, quality was good in food. Kerala and Tamil Nadu food were separately offered. Sports and games were given extra preference to people who are interested, all extracurricular activities conducted, especially march past was the best.
Faculty: All were useful subjects. Semester exams were not very hard because the staff were so kind and they gave all important notes earlier. It is not necessary to take separate notes. All were guided by staff only, no issues with the studies. 100% of all students were able to study.
Other: Best place.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2024
3.4
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
One of the average colleges in Coimbatore to pursue Masters in biotech.
Placements: College has a placement cell. It works hard to invite major companies institutions, etc., to visit the college and provide students with job opportunities in their disciplines. About 50% of students from my batch were placed from my college interviews, however most of the students were placed in Non core jobs. After the completion of my course I took an internship in a biotech company and after that I am working in MSN laboratories as an executive trainee.
Infrastructure: In my college for biotech students, good classrooms, library laboratory facilities are available. Many big instruments were availed to students in collaboration with DBT scheme. Wi-Fi facility was available in computer lab. Classrooms were big and vast. I didn't stayed in the college hostel. College don't force students to stay inside the college hostel, they allow staying outside. College canteen provides quality foods at the cheap rate. First aid facilities are arranged inside the college campus. College encourages students to get involved in various sports and games activities.
Faculty: The major drawback of college is in providing better faculty members. Most of the faculty members are retired or seems to be not interested in teaching anymore. Most of the teachers a qualified but cannot be said that they are knowledgeable. I felt many of the faculty members are taking classes pathetically. Apart from that the college curriculum and syllabus are up to date and it have the capacity to make the students ready for the industry. I didn't felt exams as much hard, minimum pass percentage was 50.
Other: I choose this course because after B.Sc. in biotechnology, I didn't got any jobs. Most of the companies demanded M.Sc. I suggest my college to replace all the retire faculty members and bring talented teachers.

One of the best colleges to pursue M.Sc. in biotechnology.
Placements: Our college has a well-working placement cell. The college is striving hard to give placement assistance to the majority of the students. The college has come in contact with many of the companies to offer job opportunities and placement training to the students. The top recruiting companies for our course includes Ziffo, Avantor, Cipla, etc. 50% of the students were placed last year in various companies. The average salary package was found to be INR 13,000. Roles offered for our course includes molecular biologist, Data analyst, biotechnologist, etc. Most of the students receive internship opportunities each year.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are vast and well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available in computer labs and department halls. The library is vast and well-enriched with books relevant to our discipline. The quality of the food served in the canteen and mess is hygienic and moderately good. Various sports and games are encouraged here, which mainly includes football, cricket, badminton, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members are the real assets of our college. Most of them have years of experience in the teaching field. Their teaching quality is also acceptable. The course is relevant in this era. It has the capacity to make the students ready for the industry.
Other: I chose this course because of the enormous opportunities it offers in various fields of life science. Various events, both cultural and academic, are celebrated here each year. Various extracurricular activities like seminars, workshops, hands-on training, etc. are rarely conducted here.
